Templar Tanking
I want to eventually play a tank of each class, but haven't decided on a main. The max ability goal is to be capable of doing up to normal trials. I like paladin-esque characters, so I thought a templar tank could be fun. I plan to make him Imperial for the strong racials geared toward tanking. What should I go for while building him, that will result in me being able to tank normal trials? More magicka than stamina? Any skills that people would call must-have?

Personally mine is more Stamina than Magicka, but the normal "hybrid" tank builds with a focus on health.

The problem I can see is that too much magicka limits any usefulness (defensively OR offensively) of your weapon and weapon attacks. Too much stamina and you get limited use out of your class skills.0

trial tank and dlc dungeon tank don't aim for doing damage anyway.
pug tank is another matter tho.0 -

✭Favoring stamina over magicka here, since you will restore stamina by synergizing shards and orbs. That is crucial for more blocking on sword and shield. The fun part about templar is, that you could play it the other way arouns with a froststaff for mist blocking. That is possible since you can restore magicka through channeled focus while blocking with the staff. The ice staff anyway is crucial for the templar tank, since wall of elements together with ritual of retribution are the aoe crowd control abilities for a templar.2 -

So I'm looking over the abilities for a tank templar, and I'm wondering a tank/DPS (more tank) would be possible with the changes that went live today? What do you guys think?0
