Snipe is the most annoying skill in the game. It should either have its major defile taken away or change it to where you can’t snipe the same person within 5-10 seconds. It is the hardest skill in the game to deal with, it has a long range, you don’t know it’s coming unless they’re in your field of sight, it has major defile, it’s spammable from a long range.

Its annoying, but the best defense is to be prepared. Know when you are in ganker territory, be prepared to get off your mount and block.

LOL, Ive snipe ganked one guy who was too new to PVP to realize that reading his map while standing outside of his keep was not the brightest idea. Felt bad for him, but he was such a tempting target!
Situational awareness helps, is what I'm saying.

Nope, it was in a 1vX. Some dude comes up and spams snipe. The gankers don’t even use snipe, it’s the large scale PvPers. Exactly it’s all the Xv1ers who use it. It makes it hard to get good 1vX clips when you have at least 2 people hitting you with it.

Dude it's your fault for putting yourself in that situation. You will not be able to pull off every 1vX. Those 1vX montages are usually vs totally braindead people anyway, and after many, many deaths.

Bows and Snipe specifically have been the most nerfed weapons in the game. At this point you just have to be really bad or totally caught by surprise to die from it.
Hint- Ranged combat is part of the game. People really have to just be prepared to deal with it and expect it.

It should not have major defile added onto it. Come to PS4 NA, Snipe is everywhere, all 24 man groups have at least 10 people that use snipe. (Might be a bit of an over exaggeration)

I’m usually solo or with 2-3 others and rarely do the people i play with heal, it’d be nice though. The people I’ve asked to heal hate it so they never will. And, PvE is trash so no ty. Lol.Bring 2 healers, no nerf, or go back pve.
You always expect it on PS4 NA. It’s the fact that so many people use it, and that major defile is a part of the skill. When i have a vigor tooltip of 16k and then it’s already halved by PvP to 8k and then major defile with points into befoul knock that 8k down another 40% it’s a useless skillThey really need to bring back the disagree and LOL buttons...just sayin.

And the skill is broken and causes lag and desyncs and it’s not usually just lethal arrow but also cc poisons. So no, it’s much more than just annoying. Poison injection is annoying, LA bow spam is annoying. Lethal arrow is a mini incap strike that causes health desyncs and can be shot from insanely far away. It’s regularly exploited whether intentional or not. The longest ranged attack in the game should not mimic the most powerful single target ultimate. And we all know defile is just way OP right now.2 -

I was entirely too tilted when i made this post. But, I said earlier, it’s not just that the skill ends those moments, it’s that the skill ends them way more times than it should. Also, the people who use the skill and think they’re good because they can Xv1 known 1vXers with it is extremely annoying. I’m completely fine with people playing large scale, i did it for a long time, but i never thought i was good, i still don’t think I’m that good. Back to the point, I died to snipe all but 2 times today, one of the times i was incapped by two people. If the skill didn’t have major defile, or cause desync, i would be fine with it. Even if major defile was nerfed in general it would be easier to deal with. I think the game is fine, the only things that tilt me are snipe and lizards spamming breath of life with heavy armor and wizards riposte on. Lol.Edited by ControlFPS on May 24, 2018 7:07AM0 -

✭Not really advocating for snipe, but as I mentioned some times before, if youre 1vX against equally skilled players, You are dead anyways, if you think its annoying that some people brag about snipe killing the so called "1Vxers", it is also cheesy to nuke 5 guys wearing pve gear or just clueless pvpers. It doesnt prove your skill, it proves their lack of.1 -

Very true. Outside of being at a keep or such, one should not encounter a sniper unless they choose to take the most obvious role. Be careful when approaching your destination as well.
Gear also helps. It has not happened in awhile, mostly because I avoid snipers I guess, but I recall a number of times getting hit by snipe and laughing. My guess is they were in PvE gear and stacked crit and I was in PvP gear and stacked inpen. Going into PvP wearing PvE gear is asking to take more damage.0 -
