If you actually do something other than duel with a Magden, you will notice this buff because it's so obvious.
What's not to like about a PVE buff at the expense of a PVP CC. Isn't whining about the opposite the norm?

I might be wrong here, but I don't think people slot weakness for the penetration, but more for the magickasteal buff. And in PvE, the tank should already be providing Major Breach.
So essentially... the debuff is shorter, has lost its CC, and is totally redundant in most PvE scenarios.

srnm✭✭✭As an argonian warden you can do well as a healer or tank in PvE.
In PvP, magden as group support/healer works pretty well.
You have the mobility the templar lacks via Nature's Embrace.
Corrupting Pollen is crucial in taking down some of the god builds - and melts most other players.
Ulti-gen is good and if you build-in a purge it's extremely survivable with minor-protection and shimmering shield.
Pigeons are still useful as an execute from the back - or you can use them to force the target to dodge and burn stam.
But the class is limited and I agree magdens need an overhaul -- not just a nerf to a couple of abilities that over-perform ...

Yeah cause aoe major breach in trials is the most important thing lmao.
You'll definitely find your spot in groups just because now fissure can apply an incredibly 5 seconds breach lol.
Mate, you either never played vet trials or you're just trolling.
The stun to ONE player (because stun was important in PvP) its life saving.
Aoe major breach is useless, in both pve and pvp3 -

But..
What you said is alarmingly true. They aren't competitive in any content, stamden are still alright in pvp, but they are a genuinely trash class.
I wanted to see how bad the stamden is in pve WITHOUT the bear... 4k less than what i parse on a stamdk with the same gear. Not even willing to do similar testing on magden.
Very saddening a year later wardens are still not in the best place, that being said if they were OP then the forums would be filled with P2W complaints...0 -

1. Every group already has 100% uptime of major breach during boss fights from ele drain
2. Deep Fissure is a DPS loss during boss fights, you only use the skill on trash mobs

There’s somethings it will do well in pvp at after the shalk nerf. Just group support and debuffs. TBH Corrupting Pollen is so good I was surprised they actually decreased the cost. Aoe chill with Winters Revenge and Ice Blockade and Corrupting Pollen on top is the one thing I think it does best in pvp. Until they nerf that too...\(^-,,-^)/0 -
