How do you combat stuns in PvP

I was in battlegrounds and CONSTANTLY getting stunned and then wailed on before I could break free. I personally HATE HATE HATE stuns in games since it just removes the player from reacting and any skill from the game but that's a different story.
How do you counter stuns? Or do you just take it and move on, or pray to god you have someone who can cleanse?

If there was no stuns in the game, fights would go on forever.

    Look into immovable pots.

    - Learn to react to the telegraphed stuns. Block or dodge incoming Flame Reaches, Javelins, etc.
    - Learn to break free faster. It shouldn't take more than 1 second.
    - Run immovability potions if possible on your build.
    - Always have healing-over-time running (multiple sources if possible), to help protect you while CCed.
    - Always be counting down the CC-immunity timer and expect enemies to stun you every time it runs out (i.e., every seven seconds). That will help you be less caught off guard by it.
    - Change your build so that you don't run out of stamina and can consistently CC break.

I will say that that last point is a big reason why, as someone who primarily plays magicka builds, I'm not very interested in BGs as long as they remain no-CP. Magicka builds have the same CC cooldown as stamina builds but inherently inferior ability to deal with CC due to their lower stamina pools and inferior stamina sustain. The reason this isn't imbalanced is that the Warlord CP star exists. Playing without the Warlord CC star is just giving yourself a handicap vs. stambros.

In CP, its fine, you can break free quite well, LOS, etc. In BGs, its awful. They overnerfed everything to make up for CP powercreep.

All of those are useful except for the breakfree one. I'm very fast to react and do the first breakfree but until I can drastically lower the stamina cost of it (mag sorc build so really no stam) I can only do one in a row, 2 if a miracle happens. But we all know there is plently more than just 2 stuns.
I'll try doing these though thank you.

Yeah, I feel your pain there -- in fact, I just edited my post to reflect that issue. Things will get a lot better for you once you start playing in CP-enabled PVP, since the mechanism ZOS put into the game to deal with the problem you're experiencing only exists there.

Reactive set plus a passive way to heal/dmg.

In 1v1 to 1v3 situations it's very good to have considering 35% reduction from reactive is around a 18-20% total DMG mitigation boost which would parallel your mitigation if you were in block.

Only downside is you are subject to intense pressure, but it does help you decide if you want to break free or not, instead of always having to break free. Either that or get 20% cost reduction to break free and try to play reactively using dodge/block.

    Hope this helps!

I was thinking of a build a while back that might help. Damage wouldn’t be good neither would sustain.

    Use Immovable Potions
    Immovable Brute from heavy armor
Assasins Guile set with Immovable poisons

This should eliminate almost all CC. Just the poisons and assasins Guile would give you about 80% cc immunity is use correctly.

This was thought of before Immovable potions got nerfed but with infused potion glyphs on Jewelry you could easily have a 100% uptime on CC immunity.

You should be fine with this again. Zos buffed the duration of all 3 ingredient style immovable pots. It might not be the old 18 seconds, but it's supposed to be higher.

There's a poison you could try using. It roots the enemy for 4.4 seconds, and gives you a 4.4 second CC immunity, potentially proccing every 10 seconds(so potentially a 44% uptime on CC immunity). Made with 3 components with unstoppable trait (IIRC wormwood namira's rot and columbine).

You can also consider running Amberplasm or Shacklebreaker to help with stam sustain.

This poison with assasins Guile Armor for an additional 4 seconds of uptime.

There is also Way of the arena set. Can’t lonk from phone right now though.

And you can combo this set with another health set to use lava foot food to make up for the missing sustain.

Flipside, someone already mentioned using shacklebreaker+Amberplasm or use the assassin's guile with escapist poisons.

    All good options!

Run 3x infused potion cooldown glyphs, and swap your regen set with clever alchemist to make up the damage. Run an extra immo pot. Easy.
