Nightblade Tank Question

MasterXtremis
I am thinking about making a Nightblade Tank build that I am reading about. The website where the build is located is: ESO Nightblade Tank Build which was written by Gilliamtherogue and I have a couple of questiions about it.

1.) What would be the pros and cons to using imperial race over argonian race as Gilliamtherogue suggested?
2.) How should I put my Health, Magicka & Stamina points into the build?

Thanks

    1) sustain vs Max stats

Is that the answer to question #1 or question #2?

And exactly what does that mean anyways? I am a noob!

    1) Imperials have more max stamina and slightly more max health than Argonians, as well as a health based heal on melee attacks
Argonians have better outgoing and incoming heals, more magicka, and gain a bunch of resources when they drink any potions

As to answer the question: Imperials can put more points into magicka as they have a decent stamina boost and if you perform melee attacks often, you can get some free healing, but your resource management will be slightly worse and your heals wont be as strong

    2) Where you should place your attribute points depends. Some tanks like more resources so they can cast/block more. Some like more health so they can take bigger hits and not worry as much. Generally, you'll want to play around with these depending on how comfortable you are with surviving and managing stam/mag

Edit: Sustain refers to resource management and recovery, generally

Also as argonian has the potion passive, it ties in really well with Catalyst passive which gives 20 ult each time you use a potion.

I'd say if you go Stam, take imperial though. But if mag based, then argonian is one of, if not the best race to go for tanking.

Also, if you are levelling up, don't level a tank build. But if you are at max points for level, respec and put on your gear and set on a build you are comfortable with. Once that's done, set your stats to suit the build.

My own take on it is to have at least 35k in health with a minimum of at least 18-20k stamina. This will ensure you have enough to block, though I have seen some tanks (incl mine) be able to do it with 16k comfortably. The best resource to me to check online is woeler, but take all builds as a guideline, not as a rule.

Argonian is like having leeching strikes AND siphoning attacks running at the same time, without having them running.

Imperial doesn't look like a handbag.

With the Psijic skill line out, I thinking about making a tank NB myself. Seems like it would work well and be a lot of fun.
