Hey, responsible roleplaying is a thing and its up to the player to know their limits.

I know D&D roleplayers who won't roleplay evil characters because they've done and found that it wasn't a healthy experience for them. I respect them for learning and holding to their limits.

I myself don't roleplay sarcastic or uncaring characters anymore, because when I do that I tend to get really mean and sarcastic out-of-character to my fellow players. It becomes very easy for me to cross a line into unkind behavior as a player to my fellow players and that's not okay. So I apologize and since I know that's a problem, I take steps to make sure I don't put myself in that situation where I find it easy to be mean and unkind.

    Responsible roleplaying, yo.

Responsible roleplaying looks different for everyone and I respect people saying "Hey, look, this is a roleplaying boundary that I don't cross." Being able to respect your fellow players is so important to a functioning D&D party and I think that's why its important to me here in a video game too.

"Maybe there is conflict in my own psyche, I never gave any respect in real life to so called God Man/women (comes in huge numbers in India), I believe that all humans are equal and there shouldn't be anyone between God and Men. Acknowledging some mortal/NPC as some kind of deity is too much for me."

Maybe you are just asking a great deal from a fantasy game, meant to appeal to a very broad spectrum of people and a large number of people. Believe me, I'd love a massively granular, deep-diving narrative from an mmorpg, but I think there might be some basic technical issues - like the fatness of the game and/or keeping things simple for future storytelling - but I'm not a game-making insider so what do I know?

I hope you can see I'm properly thinking about what you're saying (I think quite a few people were.) I think if you'd just asked for more complex/detailed RP character reactions to the religious quests, the responses would have been quite different. I think throwing RL personal philosophies and religions into the mix always creates tension.

However I also think, in the kindest of ways, if the game is causing you personal emotional discomfort, it might be best to step away, at least for a bit, because sadly, I don't think you're going to get what you wish for. And it's only a stupid game, and really not worth the anguish or disappointment.

Mind you, I'm not a health or religious professional so don't pay any attention to me.

However, if you can find some RP ways of making the game work for you, it might be an entertaining exercise, but also might give you back some control of your gameplay. Much as I love games and the people who make them, it is quite nice sometimes to go, 'Hey, yeah, I see your game and what your trying to do, but you know what, I'm going to do this instead.'

    :)
