Since Patch v4.0.6 it takes ages to log out to the Char Select Screen

In complex software unexpected side effects after patches are always waiting to crop up

Now when you swap between all chars and an extra minute is added for the logout that was not there before this patch well that works out at about 15 mins of new waiting time.

I agree its my choice to swap through the chars but do we really need long logout times

All Chars 2 x a day for Helper mails, 8 chars 1 x for writs, all chars for jewellery research(will not be daily very soon).

This all adds up to a lot of lost game time.

Please ZOS, consider better ways to optimise character swap times. There is so much good Karma to be gained here, don't let it pass you by

I foresee people bringing up the "full time job", "your choice" and "you don't have to" arguments. I would agree that they may just have a valid point or two... Did you have to kill your job in order to play the game? Are you relying on food and water for sustenance?

Disable all add-ons and try again. An outdated add-on could be having difficulties launching.

If you have Master Merchant, make sure to clear the database. It improves load times dramatically.

I'm not seeing any dramatic changes in logout or load-in times.

I had no changes to addons just before or after 4.0.6 patch.

I do no use MM anymore. Instead I use Arkadius' Trade Tools which seems to be better in terms of performance.

It could still be an addon issue however like something that was ok before 4.0.6 but now causes the logout delay.

I would really like a button on the char select addon screen "disable all addons" to temporarily disable addons. This would be to identify an addon or game issue as well as speeding up the login/logout when just scrolling through chars to pick up helper mail(I don't need addons for that).

Going through and clicking them all off one by one is such a pain and also when not all are always enabled then it becomes more difficult.

Being in-between jobs gives me a bit too much time on my hands(i know)

Absolutely agree that the add-on check boxes should have one at the top of the table that selects/de-selects all like email inboxes have had since the 90s.

Did you try screaming at the screen? Sometimes holding your PC by a power cable and voicing threats of unplugging works too!
