steam users cannot log in
tried to boot up eso via steam but it takes me to screen to log in with eso account or make a new one

I don't use Steam, and it won't even allow me to log in. I keep typing the correct password too. *sigh*0 -
It isn't just steam by the looks of it. I'm also unable to login through the regular ESO launcher and cannot access my ESO account on the ESO website

Ah, so their log in service crashed then if non Steam users cannot log in.
