Why does my quest tracker switch automatically to the newest quest i pick up?!?

It is a minor detail I'm sure, but its really making me mad!
I can not find any option to stop it from happening. Why ZOS??
Why would you change it to do that???
It annoys me so much that I am not doing anymore new quests.
Why change something that isn't broke & not give a option to switch it back to the way it was?????

Because thats how it works now. They really should have included it as an option instead of mandatory.

Use Ravalox's Quest tracker. So much better, although it is a little wonky now after the update for the next couple days probably.

/feedback it in game too. No guarantees they'll change it back, but it's worth a shot.

Agree! It’s really annoying! When I’m working on a quest I like to pick up other quests for later but it really sucks now that I keep having to switch back to the one I was working on.

God it's annoying. I don't mind picking up other quests while I'm on another one, but for pity's sake, let me finish the one I'm already doing instead of making me run in all directions like a headless hamster.
Took me a while to even figure out what was going on yesterday, I just got annoyed that my quest tracker seemed to bounce all over the place.

This was a fix for something that wasn't broken. Annoying, really.

I mean it was kind of funny when Alcast was trying to rush to get the psijic skill line before his raid yesterday and he picked up the other major Shimerene quest in the middle of it and then went and did the wrong quest.

*shrug* I am constantly accidently hitting T and changing my active quest constantly anyway that I am always mindful to check what quest to focus on.

A lot of side quests questgivers are placed in such a way that you run into them while doing main quests. So you do want to pick them up there and then or there is a good chance you'll forget about them. It's a stupid change.

This was brought up on the PTS as well. No one seemed to like the change, yet it somehow made it to live.

I just realized last night that it also will change to a random quest when I use a wayshrine!!

I have the main quest as the main focus while looking for the time breeches. I didn't pick up any others.
It would switch to whatever quest was listed 1st after finding one time breech thing, so I'd switch it back, use the wayshrine to the next closest spot to the next breech, and poof! It switched it to some random quest thAt isn't even related to summerset.

Seriously though. Wth.
Why would they change something that isn't broken.
It really sucks knowing this was disliked on pts & they don't care enough to offer an option to switch it back to the Correct way.

It's not really working right now, but there is FCM Quest Tracker too.
