Reading the tooltip, Sload deals a Dot

I cannot see that Valkyn is proccing from this Dot

Can anyone confirm ( or not ) ?

    Does Sload proc anything else?

    Some part of me feels it shouldnt proc anything to "balance" the set :P

    Reads as a Dot , to me

    (2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
    (3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
    (4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
    (4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
    (5 items) Damaging an enemy has a 10% chance to put a Leeching Shadow on them, dealing 853 Oblivion Damage every 1 second for 6 seconds. This effect can occur every 6 seconds.

    Generally oblivion damage is subordinate to other rules so it isn't really comparable. It's sad that ZOS didn't publish any rules for combat mechanics. Would be easier to identify bugs. :/

    The leaching shadow attacks once a second for six seconds but isn’t a dot.

    That’s why each attack will pull a NB out of stealth.

    Right as a dot it would be suppressed by cloaking, which isnt the case. Anyway what a gameplay would that be, when such a lazy set even procs your procs for you?

    A real anti NB set
    made cloak useless
    made piercing mark useless
    doesn't help magblades to proc their monsterset.
    made shields useless

    combined with torugs and an infused irresistable dmg glyph you get 3,5k dps for free.

    Every group or much more every zerg will perform like a wave of death with every dd equipped both sets.
    Just a few have to wear duroks, fasallas, riposte and transmutation for optimizing the dps output.

    You definitly don't have higher ticks than 853 it always deals the same damage. The only way to have less than 853 damage is of you have don't have full gold sloads. With full Gold sloads you will always deal 853 damage to any enemy

    I really got highter number than 853.

    I will try to make a screen, my tooltip being increased by thaumaturge made me though it was a different number of thick skinned on the ennmies, but as you said, I got most of the time 853 damage.

    Maybe it's minor vulnerability, will check and post a screen If I have higher number again.

    Sloads Semblence is;

    Single Target
    Direct Damage
    Oblivion

    I do not however know, if it is considered Meleee or not. ? Would be interesting, since that would in theory make it proc something like Selene.

    It should proc anything that matches these conditions.

    For the DoT vs. Direct Damage, you can follow this general guideline;

    Deals X damage every Y Second - This is Direct Damage
    Deals X damage over Y Seconds - This is DoT

    Also, it is determined through the observation regarding Skoria, and pulling NB's out of cloak (only possible with Direct Damage)

    ALTHOUGH above is just a baseline rule. ZOS has specifically changed the rules for certain abilities, like Wall Of Elements to be considered something different, than what the ToolTip states.

    Because Oblivion damage is a unique damage category that is not effected by modifiers it also lacks a DoT classification which would allow it to proc Skoria.

    Seems likely this is intentional

    Other than the quality of your gear, nothing affects its damage; only the tool tip changes, but the actual damage done is not affected by CP or damage buffs such as minor berserk.

    Yeah, but I don't know why I got highter number, maybe I saw an other dot ticking, will make tests anyways.

    Tool tips on Oblivion damage can change but the actual damage doesn't reflect it.

    This is why I asked if it procs other sets. If it does, it probably shouldn't given it's largely unavoidable.

    Oblivion damage tooltips have always been affected by CP, but their actual damage isn't. (Or isn't supposed to be.)

    If you're having Sload ticks over 853, that's a bug.
