Multicore optimizations

What are your experiences?
I don't notice ANY improvements whatsoever. Interestingly, in the first PTS build I clearly was having shorther loading times, and almost no OS lag when logging in/out at all (typically when I am logging in a character, I can't even Alt-Tab).
Not sure what's going on here. Server load shouldn't have any impact on what I was looking at (CPU usage when logging in, reloading the UI etc.).

Uninstalling and reinstalling could fix the issue. Try disabling addons or contacting your internet provider.

/sarcasm but serious replies when contacting support sometimes lol

Imho, the game is running very smooth. Most problems are User-made.

Game is stuttering for lots of people. Been this way since the patch.

Not what I'd call very smooth.

I was wondering the same thing, I Have a very nice tower but still at best 40-50 fps on best. Has it been released yet? does the multicore drop another time?

I don't know what to think. My damn game lags like hell, everything is noticeably slower than before the update. And I don't even own Summerset, so I am not in the high traffic zones.

I seem to have gained 5-10fps overall since I have FX8350 which is octacore. However in huge fights the FPS still goes down like there's no tomorrow, to about 15fps.

So while I appreciate the slight fps increase I would much rather have stability and constant fps everywhere...

I have not gained any noticeable FPS, but the random hitching or microstutters have completely gone away. I have tested in busy areas and in Summerset where everyone is.

    Happy :)

Two things helped me with some stuttering and odd fps issues. Well I’m not sure which it was but 1) trashing the shader file and 2) also trashing the use settings file to which I made some of the popular changes floating around. I don’t know any specifics but the game is running much more smoothly now.

IDK about the FPS, but the server felt all kinds of clunky yesterday. Load screens, stutter, even skill timing felt off.

We had a norm group wipe to the Lurcher boss in EH II, FFS...

Server was definitely choking out a bit. Just chalked it up to launch day issues. Guess we'll see.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

The game was running smoother in PVE Zones, but nothing really major. Also, load screens are much shorter.

In the other hand, pvp in cyrodil is definitely better, experience almost no lag and didn't have problem with skills not firing.

since the patch im experiencing random freezes where the fps just takes a massive dive. And something new and completely physically impossible, twice now my ping has taken a dive from the 300's to the 40's. And yes, im in Australia. its impossible.

Fought 4-5 Summerset worldbosses and 3-4 coral anchors or geysers or whatevs.

Not really that many people there, 4-6 tops, and the stutter and lag was really awful.

So yeah, I'm still waiting for that improvement ..

Haven't noticed any difference but then again never really had any performance issues to begin with. I'll have to reassess after I've had some time to pvp.

I've got Core i7 3770K overclocked to 4,4GHz, so I expected to see some improvements (quad cores is what they specifically mention in patch notes), but it's simply worse.
I did delete the shader file already (that's probably not a bad suggestion btw).
Guess I will wait a few days or until next week's patch and see if anything improves.
    Thus far, big disappointment.

Micro-stutter - in one second game just freeze/stutter and then goes all right. I never had that problem before :/.

FPS is the same as was before Summerset - not better but neither is worse except that annoying stutter.
Aldmeri Dominion (PC EU via Steam)

The cowardly Wood Elves are best noted for their unwillingness to engage in a face-to-face attack; a Bosmer will strike at you from every side except the front. You won't cross swords with a Bosmer, but you might catch an arrow in the throat. Be wary in forests and jungles, and watch your back.

i noticed a minor bump in FPS, and some smoother play sometimes but not always. However, i see no improvement in loading screens.

ZOS stated in another thread about this matter, that they seem to have found the issue causing stutter and are working on it and will patch it shortly. Just fyi.

Stutter was first reported on the PTS where almost no one installs add-ons.
