Summerset Physical Collectors Edition badly handled

I was really impressed with how things went last year with the CE of the Morrowind Chapter, they set up a form allowing us to send a copy of our purchase receipt and we got our preorder items the same as the people who bought a digital copy, this year I was told I couldn’t get the mount early then was given it after filling out a survey form saying I wasn’t happy with how my ticket was handled. Furthermore we also had access to the update at launch and had a set amount of time to key in our code from the physical copy to continue playing. This year it seems a total shamble, I can’t understand how is was so smoothly handled last year and then this year it’s a mess, I pay a premium for the physical copy - I could quite easily just buy the upgrade, but I really want the extras the physical CE gives, but don’t feel I should be penalised, by that and not get access at launch. I am thinking of not bothering with the Physical version next year as it seems much simpler to just download.

Meh. By the time I am out of work and my collectors edition arrives in the mail I will still probably be waiting for maintenance to finish so it's not that big of a deal. Missing a few hours of game time wont kill you. It might even be good for you.

Meh Instead of raging about silly things I'll play one of my other games and wait until it shows up around 2 PM.

So since it's not a big deal for you it's supposed to be fine for everyone?

Everyone in Canada who preorder physical copies won't be getting them until at least Tuesday. People who don't live in same day areas, Tuesday or Wednesday. I've got one person in my guild expecting next week.

This release was indeed poorly handled compared to the precedent set by Morrowind.

I'm happy for you that you won't be effected, but people have the right to be upset about it when early access was a selling point and those who spent the most money for the physical collectors are not being treated the same and will likely be set a day behind.

Yep what absolute BLATANT false advertising and shaming the customer base.

The preorder stated that if you preordered, you would have early access no matter what addition you preordered.
I pre-ordered on March 21 for God sake. You couldnt figure out how to get it shipped our in 2 MONTHS TIME???!!!

I contacted ZoS support and sent them a copy of my order from Amazon.

THEY WILL NOT GRANT EARLY ACCESS like the did with Morrowind. THEY DID IT BEFORE!!!
They even got them to ship early for Morrowind, but now? Nope we have no memory of what we did one freaking year ago....

What an absolute crock. LIES LIES and more LIES to get our money.

ZOS dont bother with early access if youre just going to LIE to part of the customer base and not give it to them.

This costs $120 here in Canada. And Monday is a holiday, so the earliest the delivery can arrive is Tuesday (but might be even later due to holiday backlog). That's not something you just "put up with" when you're buying the most expensive edition of the game.

I’ll be at work anyway so it’s not that I will be missing a few hours as you put it - the point I was making was that it was brilliantly handled last year and find it incredulous that a year on things are worse off (when usually after a practice run the 1st time round, one would expect the system to be streamlined) I would have liked to come home from work and servers willing be able to access the game the same as anyone else who preordered - I don’t want preferential treatment just the same

Exactly.. I didn't pay $135.59 after taxes to not be able to play on release day because some idiot didn't do their job and think ahead about when it's available for other countries due to their Stat holidays and make arrangements for that.

That's been a consistent theme with this game, sadly. ZOS is more concerned with the new/short term customer than the long term user base.

This is just wrong. I'd think the people buying the top o' the line edition would get top o' the line service and consideration. Sheesh.
