    Good List!!
Also, something to think about is disabling out of date add ons as new updates can also cause havoc with those.
Also a few of my GM's are suggesting removing all items out of Housing Storage Chests, just to make sure nothing comes up missing, as this has happened before.

I don't anticipate any problems with the chests, the last bug was straight out of implementation. They haven't touched chests this patch, so hopefully no problems (though ZOS is well-known for breaking stuff that is completely unrelated to a patch).

For add-ons, you will usually get a LUA error in a window. If you read the error you will usually be able to find which add-on is causing it, and can disable it until there is a fix. The last few patches, most major add-on authors have been really on top of things and have updated their wares within a few days (Huzzah!).

    Pretty much this.

I'm staying away from the new zones for a little while until everything calms down. Anyone else remember when the game first released and the enemies on that ship in Glenumbra wouldn't spawn due to too many players?

Nothing special for the launch. Just my usual messing about while servers are up.

I expect launchtime, patching, maintanance and reboots to take most part of launchday for EU as often happens. So I am counting on ESO being unavailable during my two hours of playttime in the evening. And for it to come online sometime while i am asleep. So my goal is to try and atleast get the patch downloaded, so I hopefully can check it out the one hour ofplaytime I have tuesday.

Anything more is a welcome bonus. And this expectation wards me from disappointment and frustration.

    1. Leaving launcher window open

From dead o'clock this morning (UK) probably gonna try this with maybe a few launcher restarts - just in case!

    2. Getting enough sleep

Sadly not as I have bad sleep issues just now - lucky to get two hours on a good night :(

    3. Freeing up a character slot to do the new tutorial

Done and done and a name 'reserved'!

    4. Freeing up the inventory of the character who's going to do the quests

Starting new character(s). Have a lot of saved up jewellery that will not be deconstructable so might go sell it all.

    5. Mentally remembering to unlock the Psijiic skill line as soon as possible so I can level that up (and do the wide-traveling intro quest) as I do the regular quests and exploration

On new characters do; Fighters Guild for intimidate, Mages Guild for persuade, Dark Brotherhood for blade and maybe some early Thieves Guild stuff - gotta check that. Oh yeah! Unlock psijic ASAP.

    6. Updating Tamriel Trade Centre

I rarely use that and only via web pages.

    7. Make sure I got enough water, cold 0% alc beers (health reasons), snacks, a book or something to do in server downtime.

    8. Hang a note on door in the order of ' Enter at your own risk!'

In truth, I think most prep can probably get done before or during download. Download is likely to be a long time for me and even longer if the previous EU issues including the download / redownload cycle occur. (Please get it right!)

Setting my alarm clock so I have time to complete all writs before the server goes down. Other than that, nothing much. I have too much else still to do in basegame to worry overmuch about chapters, so by the time I get there, it should have calmed down a bit. :)

Ah thanks for this thread, I am reminded that today I need to:

Screenshot all my bank and characters' inventory
Make note of my current builds
Check for the newest add on updates

Other than that I was trying to get through the Aldmeri storyline so as to have some idea of the Raz story arc but after a couple of multi hour sessions that began in the start of Grahtwood and ended with me still in the early stages of the Grahtwood part, followed by my picking up Pillars of Eternity 2, time ran out.

For tomorrow I'll get the patch started soon as I can, but may not actually go into the game until later in the week. Depends on my mood and how much I want to fight launch day issues and try to find quest givers under piles of players.

For addons, I use minion and know that the author of at least one addon has stated; "Summerset: I've added everything I believe needs added (in an unreleased version) but post update I won't be able to do any Summerset-specific adjustments because I'm not buying it." The only other addon I use I have just ( actually a few seconds ago) updated.

Oh, you would think again if you were truly at launch date, they had to shut the servers off for a couple days because there was a major exploit where people would randomly log into other peoples accounts not purposely but whenever you logged in it would randomly log in to another account somehow. Didn't happen to everyone but quite a few it did.

See if lessons are learned and if people paid attention to what others have said about not pre ordering the game and getting it on day one. I hope I am wrong, but I will be coming to the forums to see if I am correct and see if there will be many "complaint" threads of game is laggy/broken/can't log in or what not.

I really hope I am wrong and Zenimax has learned their lesson, but I am sure the lesson they have learned is they can do the minimum work because people will still keep buying.

Time will tell. If all works well, I will get it, if not I keep waiting.

I'm doing Clockwork City quests on my magblade to get some more skill points, since he's the one I want to get the Psijic skill line on. He'll need the skill points.
But I also just managed to get a 600 gold bounty on him, so I closed out the game to see what people were talking about on the forums. LOL.

For sure. There definitely needed to be at least a couple more weeks of hard testing before launch.

Every PTS is too short. There needs to be another 3-4 weeks of PTS each cycle so that ZOS has enough time to stabilize each patch. Every PTS ends up feeling rushed to Live, and every time we hear from ZOS "There isn't enough time."

Dammit, ZOS. Make more time. You're the ones that set these short PTS schedules.

I'll be going to work as normal. Hopefully it's all up and running but I might leave it a day or two for my add-ons to get patched.
