I've always thought ZOS wouldn't "free the ***", mainly because of the sizable young portion of the playerbase, but there it is, easily seen on Dibella's statue. I mean it's tasteful definitely, but still visible. I'm wondering though, isn't this the same model for the statue of Dibella in her Temple in Anvil? I'm guessing it is, since ZOS makes use of already existing assets, but with that statue it's quite difficult to get a good enough view of the entire model in there. (yeah, I've tried before) Now we get that good look.
I didn't even buy the pack for that statue either, I fell in love with that flowered Pergola, and now my House is beautifully green and flowery. But yeah, I'm impressed more than anything. I appreciate the game having a tad more mature themes in it.

Daedra are technically neither male nor female, so that image can depict something other than what is implied. Although, it is more likely that the statue is a manifestation, which can be male and female.

Interesting point. But if murder is the worst crime and murder is okay to depict, then wouldn't that mean any other grotesque crime, lewd explicit image, etc. is okay to depict? Why have we been conditioned to be shocked?

You can thank the Church for one.

And yet God said "go forth and multiply" and not "go forth and reduce.
This its an statue, classical statues often show way more and they are in museums.Where do you see mature content? This is a statue. Yes, an imperial (roman) statue shows ***. It could sometimes show even "more". That's called classical art, not adult content and you don't have to protect your children from it.
Edit: [snip], oh what a bad word. Glad I'm not american and can keep my "dirty" mouth unwashed

Without getting into religion, why would it be taught (by any institution) that murder is more acceptable than you know what?

Social normality made policy makers of community and culture establishment. It's not bad though, it's more of form of respect for woman. In some ways it is protecting woman's body or well that's one way one could look at situation at hand.

While not wanting to start an off topic discussion, the idea behind hiding the female anatomy in order to protect and respect a woman's body is an increasingly mistaken concept. As making something unreachable and hidden only exaggerates the desires for it, ie. the phrase "Taking it away only makes me want it more.". As a current sufferer of Anxiety, one of the treatments is to try and desensitize yourself to what causes the Anxiety, in order to reestablish normalcy thus taking away it's effect on you. The same can be applied to the naked Human body. If we were desensitized to nudity from the start, then it becomes a non issue later in life. There would be no need to protect something that was no longer "precious".
We should really get back to the statue now. :P It's a nice statue. Quite large actually, I almost couldn't fit it in my house.
I would bought it but its to large for serenity fall estate.
I also made this out of two screenshots. It really is nice, especially when the flowers and book came with it.

It's still on topic as relates, but maybe it helped protect females from predators back in more primative days. Still I do see you point, yet find myself thinking there's some merit in this old founded belief. Not that I believe such things but wonder at cause of such things.
To me it's more shocking how progressive and refined the game is on content. Such small things make me enjoy world more. Idk but I kinda want the statue now.
