Funny that nobody from the ZOS Staff shows some interest in this thread.
As always: Stay silent and perhaps it goes to page 99 or the same hole where our items are.
Or it‘s just a new „Gold-sink“...
I've posted about this before (over a year ago). Still an ongoing problem, and we have no real way of measuring it, because it is intermittent, and the only time we know is if we kick someone out for not meeting requirements and they go nuts because they have been depositing.
It is so common we had to create a standard response, and mail the entire guild.
"There is a known bug with ESO that sometimes deducts the gold from your inventory, but does NOT deposit it into the guild bank.
You can check to see if your deposit registered by going to the Guild Screen -> History -> Bank -> Deposits
If you have that bug happen:
1 - Note the time/date of the deposit that vanished
2 - Lodge a support ticket with ESO to get your gold back
3 - Mail your raffle money letting us know the bug has hit you
This is an issue that effects all guilds, and seems to be random."
We have also contacted support dozens of times from our GM account reporting the issue. Never get a response.
It would be great if instead of worrying about new content, they would actually fix this bug first

They probably have checked it and haven't figured out how to fix the problem while not making performance even worse than it already is.

The problem with this (and why as a GM I would prefer that the guild bank worked), is that mail is only 70-something slots? And a 490+ guild with people mailing raffle money to me isn't the only thing I get mails about.
Money that is mailed to me needs recording for ticket sales before *I* put it in the guild bank where it is needed for trader bids, but there's still a chance that is going to mess up and leave us short for a trader.
Also I like funds to go direct into the gb, because there is a paper trail (iykwim) - yes not everyone can see the gold transactions on the bank log, but officers can, and having stuff mailed to me potentially leaves me open to criticism because there's no clear log of "Guildmate put in x amount, and all the officers can see they did" - there's no log on mails to me personally, and therefore I don't like getting guild gold coming in that way - it's uncheckable. I am trustworthy, I also want that to be something that others can confirm, that is as much protection for me against criticism as it is protection to guild members.

Now, 70k of my gold disappeared this week and I was not aware until I got the dreaded "You didn't meet your obligations this week" mail. After checking deposit history and a panic attack or 2, I realized that of the several deposits made during the week, 2 were missing. Both were the gold deposits. I've also since then learned that this issue has been around since beta. Why? The total loss from my guild this past week is 700k. That's 700,000 gold just poof, gone! How can Zos let this continue? My guess is, as long as it doesn't affect their profits, they don't care. This has been my favorite game for years and I am really disappointed that Zos cares so little about their players that, they would allow this bug to exist for so many years without addressing it. Show us that you are listening and fix this issue!
This used to be a rare bug, but now it's several people every week that deposit to a guild bank and their deposit is lost and not recorded. I don't know how any system can be built without ensuring that this is sacred and safe, but clearly, it was figured out how to fail in this capacity. It's been going on for a very long period and I know support is aware since my guild members regularly put in tickets, the issue is visible, and they get their gold refunded. How about you just fix it? Please remedy. I'm tired of 5-10 people a week relying on your code and finding the gold that they deposited never makes it to the guild bank.
I'm double upset that I spent a couple of months developing a guild management addon (since the guild management tools are so deficient) that relies on this mechanism/data being reliable to then find out yet another way ZOS short-changed the player base. I pay wayyyy too much cash into this game to see such lack of pride of work in return and I'm so tired of explaining to members that the reason they weren't entered into guild raffles is because ZOS doesn't know how to ensure data integrity in their systems.
