What do you think about a movie of TES?

unless it showed all the crying from players about nightblades or sorcs, and showed players being tbagged, it wouldnt really capture the essence of eso. and if i wanted to see that ***, id watch reality tv. which i dont.

Every other game movie other than mortal kombat has been trash and just not even followed what the game is.
Worse offender being hitman "silent assassin" action movies.

I figure early on we'll have a magden use destructive reach on a sorc only to have everyone laugh at his low damage...I doubt you'll see another magden during the rest of the movie.

Have the character system like Skyrim so there has to be no specific build and stereo type.

Here I may get some hate, but have the main character an Argonian or Khajit. Why? Never really done before. Always a human the main hero is or human looking. So have the main character actually be a non human character.

There’s no point. The script would be terrible, it would be politicized from start to finish, and Whoopi Goldberg would be in it.

Well, I never got through even one of the LotR movies - I fell asleep anytime before the end - what is a really good conversion of the books, actually, because those were as well exhaustingly full of detail, which did bring nothing to the story, so boring, that one could fall asleep while reading. LotR is not really a good example for something I would want to watch - more in the GoT style would be better.

If games are going to do any movie I’d argue they should be a TV Series or multi part movie instead.

You’d actually want a movie for the base game and then for this game, break it into 50 or so parts as a TV series because there aren’t expansions however some chapters happen prior to the main game so......kinda hard to do as a movie but easy as a tv series format

Prob more cost effective too and that should be an ESo Plus thing as well as stand alone purchase

Wouldn’t mind a movie based on the following events:
Pelinal Whitestrake/The Alessian Empire,
Tiber Septim’s rise to power,
The journey of the original companions/war with the Falmer.
Nerevar/Changing of the Chimer to Dunmer

However I think if there were to be a movie it would be better if it was done by stepping into a part of the timeline that’s never been done, with very little lore based around that time. Like say something about the wars which raged on Yokuda before it slipped beneath the waves. Or the invasion of Morrowind by the argonians.

Main thing is with games being turned into movies is that a lot of the audience will have played the games and will question the lore behind it - so there can’t just be a random invasion of the imperial city by say the Dwemer in 1E 1750.

Yet the film also needs to balance the action scenes between the none-action scenes etc. Needs to be entertaining (since the point of movies is to entertain). Needs to have things done in specific ways in order to get a reaction from the audience (the best films are the ones that make the audience feel something).

There’s a lot to get right so if there were to be an elder scrolls film or even tv series, I’d hope that the writers and directors take their time to get as much as they can done in the right way.

It will fail to meet expectations since everyone has a favorite race...And I know for a fact the protagonist of the movie wouldn't be a Dark Elf or and Argonian...
It would probably be an Imperial or some other boring thing like Breton.

Edit: Besides, if ZOS made the movie you’d have to buy crown crates and gamble with Pakrooti just to see the ending.

Yeah, wow did it and it didn't go over well. Fans went to see it because they played the game and knew the lore.
Someone who never played wow would not understand the story behind the movie.

And as a vetern WoW-player (for about 10 years) even the movie messed up the lore bigtime.

Elder scrolls lore is complex, and seems to have no real life reference. I don’t know a lot about warcraft lore. But i do know league of legends lore is pretty much persian vs greek with a twist.

As much as I love The Elder Scrolls ( believe me, it's quite a lot) I do not want this franchise to turn into a movie, or a show. The expectations would be way too high, for me at least. I think it's perfect the way it is, remaining as a game.

It would probably be buy to see. You can buy a ticket to see the movie, but if you want popcorn, soda, candy, etc...you'd have to buy Snack Crates which would have a random chance to drop them. Unfortunately, most of the time you just get napkins, ketchup packets, or SALT out of the crates.

It's alright though, nobody NEEDS snacks to watch a movie. They're just cosmetic.
