Crafting : Deconstruction

I read somewhere that deconstructing of items crafted by others gain you more xp than those by yourself .
The questions is : Are they as good as looted items for deconstructing or not ?

Well, that is easy enough tested. Why don't you go test that and let us all know.

Go to a dungeon, kill some stuff, and get some gear. Then have a guildie or friend make a couple of the same items at the same quality. Look at your crafting skills before, then DE a dropped item, look at how much crafting exp you gain. Then DE then look at your skill again and DE the same crafted item. Look at how much crafting exp you gained. Then compare the two numbers..

I don't know that crafted items are as good as looted items in providing experience upon deconstruction, however, I do know the first part of your statement holds true concerning items crafted by other characters provide more experience than those created by the character who is going to deconstruct them.

You do not get barely any points by deconstructing items made by the same toon.

Well I was planning to do the same in case no one here know the answer .
Since typing is a bit difficult with a console controller I want to know if anyone here is willing to test this with me on PS4 EU

Well, I would be more than willing to help you test by crafting gear but I am on PC.

I believe, too, that items crafted by a separate character of the same account are equivalent to those made by another player. So if you have an alt, you can swap items between them.

Dropped items are always likely to be "better" than you can make, as they're at the same level as your character, and have traits and things you haven't yet learned. So there will be research opportunities, as well as deconstruction.

Weapons and gear that are stolen or have a 0 value, do not give much crafting exp.

I typically would craft something with my craft character and then add those items to bank... go to character I'm leveling and decon since you can decon anything that is inside the bank without having to withdraw it. Decon by same account is different than deconning from same character- deconning from same account but different character works just like you were deconning from another player.

get an ALT to make some DAGGERS, put them in bank, jump onto your crafter and go deconstruct those daggers in bank=get most IP from daggers, in black smithing tree.
