If you PvP too, when do you use your Invisibility potions? I've tried using them while in combat and failed miserably so I assume they don't work in combat?

    Then WTF is the point?

Getting into position for combat. Sneaking up on an enemy. Setting up an ambush. Getting away from combat. Or any other reason why you might want to hide for a period of time.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

@CrowsDescend - the minute you attack or get attacked(HIT) then you are no longer in stealth,

So they dont work when in combat.. lol........ or you would not have been killed...

This is very tricky, but to use invisible pots in combat one must roll dodge first. Reason is if an enemy has launched a delayed ability at you, you will still get hit thus pulling you out of invisibility. The roll dodge cancels these abilities and allows your potion to work. Next problem is detect pots, mage light, any detector for a stealthed enemy will pull you out if you're within range. Recommend major expedition with the invisibility. Best of luck.

You can use them to sneak into the enemy resource towers during a keep siege and disrupt enemy siege weapons. Or burn the camps that are placed around NPCs

They work great in combat! It's like Cloak though, best when used immediately after a dodge roll.

Invis pots are my favorite thing in BG's - some junkblade slams you from stealth, you break free and invis, then you push his poo in with a Dark Flare > DBoS. So gewd. XD

Edit: also have to make sure aren't in or around any enemy AoE effect or you will be insta-revealed

I played nightblade for months in PvP before adding invisible pots, so I had some considerable stealth experience. There’s an art to them.

Make invisible plus speed. Namira rot, blessed thistle and blue enteloma. The speed will help a lot.

The potion will fail as soon as you take any damage. So timing is everything. You have to learn to proc it when you’re sure no more hits are coming in, and you have to avoid everyone’s aoes. Dodge rolling will help you clear incoming attacks.

Avoiding other damage is just an art...you can shift direction, move toward an unexpected place, etc. Think about how you see everyone run to escape the location where you are...don’t do this. If you’re up on a keep wall and you disappear, people assume you’re going to run away up on the wall. They’ll toss out aoes to find you. If I’m in a keep, I like to run TOWARD npcs, sometimes across the porch. No one expects you to move in that direction, so they’ll go off away from you.

For practice, go find a porch with a bunch of npcs and practice proccing the potion when under attack. When you get comfortable, practice on a porch with npcs and some willing human enemies, lol. It just takes practice.
