Suggestion - Adding Craft Bag Without ESO Plus

Strip away craft bag and you don't have enough to sell subs, which will hurt the game, long term.

Your suggestion needs to be something equally as good as the crafting bag. People have been asking for handouts in this game since shortly after it became a B2P model, but they never have a suggestion for what ZOS could do to keep up optional subs. The alternative would be even more things becoming crown only items, coupled with less creative DLCs (after the inevitable employee purge to make up for the lost revenue), mixed with higher crown store prices, because why wrack your brain (as ZOS marketing department), when the answer is right in front of you.

You must've overlooked it or not read through the thread. I'll recap for you. I've concluded with others that adding it to the crown store for a substantial amount, and to have a major gold increase to go along with the sub would be the best method for solving the problem you think your beneficiary would face. I love This game, and all Bethesda products. Zenimax did a great job, so I don't want to hinder any long term quality improvements for ESO; but, again, this game could be something very special to many more players if they made the crafting bag available through means outside of ESO Plus. Zenimax should keep the bag in ESO Plus; Just give us a way to purchase it with crowns also. Thank you.

There is no reason to be condescending, I read your post. As I said, there needs to be something of equal value added to ESO+, but you suggested something that isn't even close. I would cancel my account, and I think many others would, too. I don't need more gold.

The sub is worth it for the craft bag alone, I am poor as a church mouse, but have still managed to sub since early access. It's just one less bottle of wine a month... (Thinks about cancelling sub for more wine...)

Whew.... that IS a tough choice... but I'd prolly go with the sub...

Will not happen, as pointed out, it's essentially they're biggest selling point; and a primary reason why a lot of people subscribe. The 10% boosts and double bank space are also nice, but the crafting bag is the glue that holds everything together for membership.

They do already have, somewhat, of a compromise in storage furniture for sell in the crown store and/or for tel var stones.

Sorry, that's not even a "somewhat of a compromise..." Try again....

I think it would be illogical to try to replace the infinite with something finite (storage containers)...
If you want it, break-down and sub....

About the only thing you could do with Storage Containers, as an ESO incentive, IF you removed craft bag, would be to make their storage ulimited as well... which just puts us back where we started out, except everything's slightly more inconvenient.

So, no. This one is not a good idea, sorry.

I would add the crafting bag as a very expensive item in the crown store.

how about an ongoing cost of 1500 crowns per month unless subbed. i think i could live with that.

If it went to all then there really wouldn't be a point in ESO+.

I think ESO+ needs to be improved tbh, they have a *** thread in the forum with excellent ideas but how many have they bothered their arses to implement?

I can manage to do crafting without crafting bag. I just use my banks space for that. And I have 240 slots in my bank. With ESO+ I would have double bank space (so that would be 480). And even then I would not need crafting bag.

The problem starts when we will take into account that every time there is a new DLC - there are new style materials. With upcoming Summerset chapter there will be new crafting materials too (a lot of them :o ). Right now I have a problem - I am moving some of double stacks of crafting materials in to my home storage. Why ? Because with Summerset chapter there will be more (or very close) crafting materials types than the current banks space. This is the only issue I see. ZOS should think of just increasing the bank space upgrade cap to something like 260 slots - to update the bank to the current game realies.

Why they can't just make a 500 stack one for free and unlimited for ESO+ is beyond me..

Honestly before ESO+ i totally ignore mats completely treated crafting and mats like they didn't exist because my bags couldn't fit them..

Thats insanely poor game mechanics.. when customers must ignore huge parts of the game.

That's not a bad idea, maybe not 500 slots, but that's a good idea. Give a crafting bag that can be upgraded like bank space, or inventory, but keep it limited, and have an unlimited bag for ESO+. I would imagine putting a limit on the crafting bag might get more people into crafting, then urge them to sub for the unlimited space.

The day I see craft bags offered to all players free of charge, will be the day I worry for the life of ESO.
For they will only do this as a last desperate effort to gain/keep players in the game.

Subscribers also get crown store credits almost to the value of their sub. In my opinion, they are being more than fair. The craft bag is an icing on the cake sweetness.

So, some are concluding the crafting bag should stay an ESO plus option. However, some are also agreeing that the craft bag should be purchasable through crowns. I agree that the Craft Bag should stay a reward for ESO Plus members, but it should also be available through other means. How about as long as you own all DLC (meaning true DLC, not mounts, cosmetics, etc) you are entitled to the craft bag as another suggestion as well.

Access to the banker/merchant is not worth $15/month to me. One can easily port to one of the free inns/homes in the major cities and access the bank.

The craft bag is the major reason I sub and that's because I do crafting.

There aren’t as many subscribers as you all would like to believe. Consider the focus is on the crown store not eso plus for the last two+ years.

I would immediatly unsub if you could get it without eso plus. Everything else for subbing is just a whatever. Just silly they use a storage gimmick to get people to sub, says a lot about the quality of the game they put out and their own faith in their product lol.

The only way they could possibly sell the craft bag separately and not lose ESO+ members is to stuff it into a crown crate with the drop rate less than those radiant apex mounts and also make it so you can't buy them with gems.

    No, just no -

And what would hinder subscribers to buy it with their crown allowance from the sub and then drop ESO+ for good?- There are no longer really interesting DLCs coming up, which made ESO+ valuable in the past - what we get are chapters now and pointless dungeon DLCs - rarely something worth the subscription. If the bag could be bought, why would I want ESO+ then?

I don't think they'll do that, and I don't think they should. I subscribe from time to time, primarily to unload my mules, and I have no problem with paying to do so. If I had more cash to splash, I'd subscribe full time. I'm happy to support a game I enjoy (mostly!) playing.
