Suggestion - Adding Craft Bag Without ESO Plus

Dire
Dire
Good morning, Zenimax and forums,
I'm so glad I got back into ESO with my friend. I love this game, and the lore of the Elder Scrolls. I have a suggestion; rather, more of a plea. The game has been out for such a long time now; ESO has had a strong run, and still has a faithful player base. I'm certain granting all players access to the Endless Craft Bag would bring back an even greater percentage of them. I firmly believe this alone will also increase the shear enjoyment of the game itself. That bag is more than an asset, it is a necessity. I still find myself in situations where I need to manage my inventory space and size, so it doesn't completely remove the need to do so. Granting players access to the Craft Bag for free should also be a great incentive for players to spend crowns as well (wink). Maybe you could add it as a reward for reaching level 50 and completing the main story Quest (beating Molag Bal). Please make this a reality with the release of the Summerset Isle, and thank you for such a wonderful game!

ZOS will never do that, because it is their only real selling point for ESO+.

I think they are too greedy to do this. The upside is that you really dont need a crafting bag unless you are a hardcore trader, imo. Just dont loot anything you cant sell to a vendor. Use alts to hold items if you feel you need to horde.

Zenimax knows they have a lot of use having ESO+ only for the craft bag. Why would they give it up? After all where is your proof that people will spend money on crowns. I know I will drop ESO+ and not spend a dime on crowns.

It's about having fun. At first I balked at ESO+ but for the measly $15 well not so measly but it's money well spent because it gives me more enjoyment out of the game. But spending money on crowns where it doesn't give me enjoyment? NO THANK YOU.

It would be a stupid move on Zenimax's part to do so. What ever profit they would be getting would be gone. I am sure Crowns is just icing on the cake and it's the subscription that is giving Zenimax the profit or at least to be above water.

Didn't we have this exact thread a couple days ago?

And, no, it's still a terrible idea. The Craft Bag is the primary reason people continue to subscribe.

the craft bag is literally the only reason as a new player of 3 months that I chose to sub last month; now if you want a limitless craft bag as a non subbed player then coolio as long as I can get a major increase in bag and housing space...

then I would be ok with it but a sub is very well worth the price unlike the other Game I will not mention I played for nine years this one is much more relaxed so I find my 15 bucks is very well spent its a lot cheaper than drinks at the bar or a movie.

If we continue with that thread, it would be necromancy. We know ESO is not allowed to have any Necromancers. :P

Back in my day, we didn't have no crafting bags! We had to walk back to the bank 15 miles in the snow and rain to put our stuff in the bank! You lazy kids these days, you want everything handed to you for free!

So seriously, stop being cheap and just sub to the game.
"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

Why not just add your comment to one of the many threads asking for this ?

And if you love the game so much why aren't you a subscriber to help support future development ?
If you were a subscriber you'd get the craft bag.

I subbed primarily for the crafting bag once I realized how important materials are in ESO. My only confusion lies in what if I unsub? Where do my mats go?

They stay in that bag until you use or remove them, you just cannot add to the bag will unsubbed

The only way they could possibly sell the craft bag separately and not lose ESO+ members is to stuff it into a crown crate with the drop rate less than those radiant apex mounts and also make it so you can't buy them with gems.

Probably for the same reason you've just made the same post several others have. I do support the game, I did when I bought the $10,000 Imperial Edition Box set Steel case, Molag Bal Statue, art book, set when the game released. I do as I keep buying $1000's of dollars worth of Crowns, and I've bought a few subs already. I plan on buying all DLC eventually, and buying things here and there with more crowns. I'm sorry that you all feel like that isn't enough. Giving access to the Craft Bag won't make the ESO Plus completely meaningless. Also, I have bills, and as others that work as hard as I do understand, adding another monthly bill to the mix with our hard earned money isn't always a pleasant feeling. Thanks for the feedback!

Note the sarcasm in the pricing of the said merchandise, but I have spent a lot on crowns and I did purchase the statue imperial edition box set & eso plus etc.

So evil ... At a certain point it's cheaper to sub, plus you get all the other advantages.

The sub is worth it for the craft bag alone, I am poor as a church mouse, but have still managed to sub since early access. It's just one less bottle of wine a month... (Thinks about cancelling sub for more wine...)

So you buy everything except a sub. Yet you want the one thing a sub gives..the craft bag.

I love everything the sub has to offer. I also have the sub as we speak right now! I'm just trying to make a fair suggestion that I think will help out the community and the Elder Scrolls Online experience as a whole. I enjoy playing this game while I have the craft bag, but I don't expect to have the ESO plus every month. I don't enjoy micro managing multiple mule characters just to manage crafting items. It takes way too long and is far too tedious. I really love this game, and hopefully this simple request is made into a reality so we can all thoroughly enjoy ESO even more, together! Because, whether people admit it or not, I believe the availability of the crafting bag is the only thing holding the game back from being enjoyed on unanimous level.

I also understand what kind of resources it takes to keep a game like this strong with content and server reliability. That is why I am so generous with lending Zenimax funds for the game. So, obviously hindering ESO's income is not the point. However, the Craft Bag is far too important to be locked behind the ESO Plus Membership. As rikimm16_ESO stated, adding the Craft Bag to the Crown Store would be the best idea, that way the players, and Zenimax, can reach a happy medium on the subject. Thank you.

I'd love access to the crafting bag without ESO+. I'd unsubscribe in a heartbeat! And of course, therein lies the problem. ESO needs a steady income, subs are great for that. And a lot of people would unsubscribe without the bag.

the only possible option I could see would be a very limited crafting bag, perhaps only 100 slots or only one stack of fifty per item. But that would probably be a nightmare to program because it would be very awkward for people who swap between being subbed and unsubbed a lot.

If you're serious about crafting you'll want the bag. swapping items between alts can take up half your game time if you're not careful else wise. So the sub is probably worth it for the bag alone...

Will not happen, as pointed out, it's essentially they're biggest selling point; and a primary reason why a lot of people subscribe. The 10% boosts and double bank space are also nice, but the crafting bag is the glue that holds everything together for membership.

They do already have, somewhat, of a compromise in storage furniture for sell in the crown store and/or for tel var stones.

Lol, man, people pay real money for the craft bag and you want it for free. Any time I read such begging ideas, it makes me laugh. Without craft bag covered by sub, ZOS would loose more than a half of actual subscribers, including me.

As has been stated many times, in many threads, it will not happen.

It’s well worth the $15 per month to minimize the time spent managing my inventory and I do not begrudge that nominal fee as long as the game remains enjoyable. Without the craft bag, subs would plummet and so would the quality of the game as the publisher scrambled to implement other, perhaps less benign, methods of monetization.

I'd be OK with craft bag being a base game feature if they added something else to ESO Plus of commensurate value. Then again they're already behind on this year's ESO Plus additional feature soooooo we'll see.

Hate to say it, but I doubt that will ever happen. It's the main selling point of ESO Plus.
