Watched an enemy faction player revive an ally while invisible and at least 50 feet away

Is this more Cyro lag and glitching? Anyone else ever see this kind of thing happen? Seriously, we could see the little whitish beams stretching out to their downed ally from at least 50 feet away, but couldn't see the player who was doing the reviving. Then, when the downed player revived, his ally appeared right next to him directly opposite of where the beams were coming from. Very weird to watch. We were in Vivec, btw.

I actually had a similar thing happen in vDSA today. A group mate died in the air and his body landed on the far side of the arena. When he was finally able to rez, his body teleported to the spot where he died.

It seems the game registers the player as dead in one place, but the player’s body displays in another. Upon resurrection, the player comes up where the game has him registered and not where we see the body.

It was super laggy in vDSA today, so I’m sure that was a big factor.

Laggy in Cyro, too. That certainly isn't surprising. It's too bad the guy's character wasn't showing because it prevented us from stopping his rez. ha ha

I've seen this a few times. I think it is a visual glitch. Dropping caltrop where the beam comes from doesn't do anything, but dropping it the one being rezzed does reveal them.

There was a tread few months ago where a guy is showing ppl exploiting this bug. He had video proof and everything, where a guy is ressing his ally over and over just like you explained. He also knew how to recreate the glitch. If i remember correctly it had something to do with drinking invisibility pot and somehow ressing was not canceling it.
So, it could be that ZoS hasnt done anything about it, in fact i bet they didnt do anything about it...

I’ve also seen this a few times. The resurrection beam appears to be coming from a long way away from the dead player, but using magelight near the body reveals the resurrector right next to them. Seems like a visual glitch, since the long rez beam makes it much more visible from a distance, which is a definite disadvantage.

I've seen this visual glitch too. And yeah I think it is an invisible pot while rezzing.

The beam likely comes from the position that the person used the Invis potion.
But yeah, the person ressing is actually much closer to the body so just use any aoe that can reveal them :)

Beam comes from the last place the player was visible. Its just a visual glitch.

Good to know. Obviously, the invisibility should break the instant the player starts rezzing someone, but....another bug Zenimax has been ignoring for months and months.
