Lock faction per server

Would you like it if you'd have to lock faction at the start of every campaign, though seperate for each campaign.

For example: I lock AD on vivec so I can only play AD chars on this sever untill the campaign is over. But meanwhile I can still lock DC to Shor etc.

I see that a lot of theads ask for a lock, but I haven't seen the idea of locking it for the duration of the campaign only.

Yes please, plus if you lose Emp after obtaining it, there's a lockout after rest of campaign.

I still don't know why it matters. Oh tragic a few people might spy, but you can still do that via friends or the like. Its not nearly significant enough to change. Also, for the most part people know what the other alliance is doing due to the same thing happening for 4 years.

This will also make the problem of constant winning for alliance per campaign worse, because then everyone will only play the best one. Assuming this means every character defaults to the alliance of your choosing when entering that campaign, if not you have problems locking out characters from playing a certain campaign at all.

All in all, not worth it.

What do you mean by server? I think you just mean campaign

Lock by campaign, yes we need that. And @ZOS_BrianWheeler has already said they are looking at a solution.

But unsure if that's exactly what you mean as you alternate saying sever / campaign. The mega servers cover NA / EU etc.

Campaigns are currently Kyne, Shor, Sotha Sil, Vivec. And my vote is for whatever alliance you enter the campaign with you are locked to for 30/7 days. Or at the very least a 48hr timeout. .

I think they should just add one campaign that is faction locked the whole campaign . Then those that want that have their own campaign for it .

i think people should stop telling me what toons i can and cant play during a campaign. what they propose will not stop what they want to stop. All they are doing is penalizing other players and pissing them off.

Penalizing them for what? Maxing out their DC alts, taking the map over then switch to their AD mains and flip it back for max AP? You mean that? You mean the getting two lots of legendedary quality rewrads? You mean gaining Emperorship and keeping it through coordinated faction swapping? You mean sustained PvP buffs uptime by switching back and forth?

Nice use of the swearing to get the thread closed down too.

There was isn't some nefarious cabal of faction swappers that are coordinating emperors across multiple factions (emp swapping in 2018, lol).
In reality, most of the most dedicated pvpers are either motivated by wanting to "win the map" for their faction, or from a desire to fight people just for the sake of fighting people (more common). Nobody who's been pvping for a while is really in this for an insatiable hunger for the anemic end-of-campaign rewards.

Also, what swearing? The language in the post you quoted was pretty tame.

Also, a thread isn't gonna get shut down just because one person said a naughty word, the moderators would just delete the single comment.

I just want to play. I don't care whatsoever about a faction lock. If blue is zerging down the map and running all the other factions off then it gets really stale and boring. So instead of playing the ol PvDoor since everyone else left I hop on a red and fight back. I want to PvP plain and simple. God forbid someone does that.

I could be wrong but I do believe the Shor crew would be happy with that. But as for a whole new campaign, the PvP population just can’t support it right now. It will just be another empty emp trade campaign. The fact that Shor is all but empty except for primetime clearly shows that the PvP population is on the low side.

Depends on what campaign you are playing, and what region / platform - As that type of behavior sure as heck happens i'm afraid

The vast majority does the exact opposite though - Hop onto the PvD train to farm AP and thereby exacerbating the problem. Happens on EU-PC Vivec every single day.

To be honest I get why people swap ... In shor ps4 EU blues n reds swap alot if defending emp for blues you get a big blue zerg and small group of reds left to cause havoc down red side and keep trying to pull yellows from attacking blues if blues lose you will then see the exact same players all on reds now renforcing the ground that small red group got crowning a red emp quickly ... Then that the back no forth

Yellow emos for 2 maybe 3 hours ... Red an blue emps holding it for 19 to 20 hours

As a yellow it nice to have the competition but it would be nice if it was even numbers and maybe 19 hours of no emp with a few hours emp shared among three factions

Maybe an4 hour cool down to change campaigns, a lot can happen in four hours

I'm fine with locking for the campaign. You can switch when the next campaign starts. It's Alliance vs Alliance, not pvdoor.
