Skyreach

chuckaloco
Hey guys,
I’m about to run a new character so I can play Cyrodiil with my friend (I already have a character at 130CP in a different alliance) and was wondering do people offer to run skyreach for noobs like me and is there a fee?
Thanks in advance ❤️

Just ask in your guilds. There is usually someone who needs to grind CP.

There will also be folks in Craglorn zone chat sometimes that need a partner as well.

I’m running the same class as my main so I just want to get it done ASAP, otherwise I’d just quest until 10 then run dungeons so I can mess around with different skills and roles. I intend to have the exact same playstyle/role/abilities just in a different alliance

He's CP 130.. not even 160 yet, so not a veteran. Not to mention I never said anything about questing. That was the one thing I left out. Kindly read what I actual said next time.

Not much ur going to learn from anything pve for pvp might as well bang out those lvls and jump into pvp and learn fighting live enemy's.

Ask in zone chat 3k a run if you have the gold or find a grinding partner that is trying to get cp for free.

I like to run in IC in the sewers myself I never run into anyone can solo the mobs very easy and get tel var and key fragments at the same time, just need to get to lvl 10 first. Imo better exp and gold making.

How would fetch quests help you learn your class? And normal dungeons are fine, but hardly a challenge, especially since you always have at least one high level carrying in PUGs.

Guess I'm just sick and tired of all the 720s who have done nothing more than grind their toons to max level with guildies in Skyreach and run in dungeons under geared and just spam light attacks dying to mechanics then complaining about the tank or healer.

Had way too many high level DPS complain about the Tanks not holding agro against untauntable 1 shot mechanics that they did not know to block through because they were skyreach levelled. You will learn more from vet than normal, but you are better prepared by doing the dungeons on normal than skyreach.

I would agree but he already has an identical character and build to the new one he wants power levelled.
He just wants the same thing in a different faction for Cyro.
Skyreach and skyshards will do that quickly. Unless he needs mage guild skills.

As for the original post, I´m not even sure Skyreach is that fast? You get one XP scroll when leveling, maybe buy another XP scroll and grind... but for myself I find it more enjoyable (or rather, less unenjoyable) to speedrun the MQ and Alliance quests when playing an alt. You need those skillpoints and it´s nice to unlock wayshrines, etc. Plus you get cash, buy XP pots and then grind. Random normal gives a lot, too.

Basically, stop torturing yourself with an outdated meta grind XD

Who does this anymore? Go to Al’Kir, type LFG, X, or LFDG (platform dependent), grind dolmens. Most efficient XP gain in the game, bar none. Skyreach is only good if they can clear in three pulls and under 5m, which a lot of people selling CAN’T. XP gain from dolmens is literally non stop with 1m breaks for horse travel.

As others have said, just do Dolmens in Alik’r. There are usually massive zergs there that clear them within a minute or two so there is just a constant flow of XP with the exception of traveling to the next one. I highly recommend using XP Scrolls and potions too. They are also free and they pay you because each chest drops gold scaled to your level. Skyreach is just for mindless lemmings who are under the false impression that that is the best way to farm XP.

If you're on PC/NA, I know a few people who do it 3-4k per round. Time is usually 5-6.5 mins per run, and if they die more than once they usually throw in a free round. Look into doing sewer runs with someone as well. Thats decent CP and much better loot. Also dont forget to run 1 random normal dungeon per day for the xp boost. Drink an ambrosia at the start if you're with a fast group, or use an xp scroll. Do that on every toon you have to level 50, and you get CPs faster for all your toons. If you do the 6 crafting writs everyday, you also boost up your inspiration and get xp a bit faster as well.

Dolmens are far slower than Skyreach. People saying otherwise either ran with people who were slow/not good, or they are unable to grasp basic addition and multiplication skills. Dolmen xp significantly drops after the first time you do them. Go run Skyreach 1 time in 5-6.5 minutes and look at the xp. Then go time your dolmens and look at the xp. You will chuckle at the people who think it's even close.

I think their comment should be taken as seperate things. A veteran of the game wouldn’t interpret this as them saying to do quests to learn to play.

    Level it properly means...
Learn your class by doing the following:

-Unlock the skills from story quests
-Random normal dungeons using the activity finder
    -Gather all Skyshards
-Gather all lore books for mages guild

I’ve made loads of toons to try out and mess arouund with, I always start a new toon once I hit around level 25 but if I stuck with my main it would definitely be 200+
I’ve ran a couple of trials including nMoL and completed most of the Normal Dungeons. I know my class - as I said, I want to get the exact same class, race and bars in a different alliance because I know how to play it. So I’d rather just get it to 50 because theres no learning involved, as for skill points, I’ll just skyshard hunt every so often.

Also in my downtime while waiting for my friend to come on I’ve been catching up on the Alliance quests, MQ and DLC quests hat I already had finished, so dont assume I don’t know that I need skill points, I asked whats the fastest way to grind, not how to play the game.
