How long before ESO adds a Battle Royale mode?

greylox✭✭✭✭✭Battle royale won't work in a game where people are different levels of power etc. Unless at the start everyone gets the same stats and no gear (have to pick it up).
PUBG is what I'm playing until summerset (burnout mainly) though and I love it....it just wouldn't work in an RPG imo.PC EU

it makes sense for dota2 because it is a moba, and the sequal game to a game that started off as a warcraft (the rts) mod.

Just add a deadric "proving ground" plane, where people can go to experience the "everyone against everyone" style of PvP.
The big question being - do enough PvPlayers want this enough to be willing to pay for a DLC like that to make it worth ZOS while to spend development resources on it?

Rocki✭✭✭They did something similar in WoW with the Highmaul Coliseum, I managed to win it playing my prot warrior but it was dominated by tankier classes with good self heals so I had an advantage over most people in there and I imagine it would be the same in ESO. Not bad as something to do on the side for achievements or whatever but it shouldn't be a major part of the game, it'll always be really imbalanced.Edited by Rocki on May 10, 2018 1:14PM1

Have it set as DC vs AD at invasion of aleswell town, EP vs AD at secondary bridge, etc.
This way you can have five 4 man teams coordinating together; even if 4 premades enter, the game can place them on each team equally. (Your group chat take to your team but zone chat talks to everyone in each side).
That would bring back larger scale without the annoying "I'm fighting 3 players and 10 pop out of stealth" crap that cyro seems to bring. And it would be terrible to code, just needs some good map making.Minno - DC - Forum-plar Extraordinaire

I don't know if I'd call it a fad. Many of the BR games out there are very popular, indicating this is a system people desire.I hope the fad goes away soon. It is prpbably the most unappealing thing imaginable.
I have no issue if ESO wants to put in a BR system in the game. That's sort of PvP anyway, with the difference of one winner, rather than a group of zergs running a map.

✭✭✭✭Surprised to see so many people against this. I really enjoy PubG and Fortnite and the whole concept in general. It would be difficult to implement in this game for sure but it could be pretty cool.

And how would this work in game like ESO, where armor sets, skills and attributes are playing so important role?
In PUBG this makes sense since there's no CP, skills, armor sets nor attributes, so people are starting there from equal level.
However that's not the case in ESO.
(Even tho I would find it quite epic if last man standing would've killed everyone with dual resto staves.
)
And if people can bring their own set up to the Battle Royale mode, the outcome of the match would probably turn out to be filled with many tanks with 0 damage and perma cloacking mag blades.
Doesn't sound way too appealing to me.

I hope we might see some kind of free for all deathmatch mode for the existing battlegrounds arenas. More fun if you can respawn after dying instead of waiting until the entire match is over.
