Strategy for raising a second crafter

Once you have a single crafter who's mastered everything, what's the most efficient way to raise up another?

Having the first make items for deconstruction by the second uses up materials. If those are higher-level than they use, they won't get the mats back. It they're the same level, the two crafters are competing for the same materials. If they're below, then the junior crafter doesn't get as much inspiration from the piece. So which is the best bang for the mats?

Dropped items get sent down anyway, and don't really figure in this choice. Although if the trait is unknown to both, there's a separate decision on who researches first. I usually find the higher-level crafter has research pending and the lower one will be able to do the research and send up a cheap piece before a slot opens.

With multiple high-level crafters, I'd expect the flow of lower-level mats from them to make all this a bit moot, so it's really all about that second one.

What I do is just leave 40-50 space in my bank open and just dump all intricates i have in there and decon them on the second char next day for writs of when it fills. Takes about 10 days to level 50, more or less.
Tbh it is a waste of time and mats making things like 150 rubedite daggers and deconning them on the alt, it doesn't even level them up quick.
For enchant, best to just decon all trash runes you get while playing on the alt until you get to 30, then get another enchanter to boost you then and there, give him your runes trash (denata) until you have all rune extraction passives then give him 150 and rekutas until level 50.
For alchemy, just make poisons, as they sell more in store, using fleshfly lavae or spider eggs and an inexpensive flower like nightshade.
Provisioning, just buy and use a recipe from the grocer until you are enough level to buy another, rinse repeat.

Cut a deal with guild mates!

Back in the dark ages, my PvP guildmates just sent every trash drop to me. They probably each invested over a million gold into the effort over time. In exchange, they can have gold whatever they want, any time they want. Pots also, now that the flower bags are in the game.

But that takes more than 2 crafting toons.

I usually just buy a bunch of intricates if I'm in a hurry. If I'm not, I save all the junk gear I usually vendor and when I'm around level 40 crafting or so, I buy a bunch of intricates.

Decon all the random dropped gear that you find and do not use (E.g. white-purple ancestor silk, rubedite stuff, etc. All garbage gear/decon-food), from places like group dungeons, pvp rewards for the worthy, overland treasure chests, random trash mobs, and so on. It accumulates rather quickly. Mail/Return-to-Sender (RTS) stockpiles of junk gear and withdraw and decon it on the other character of your choosing, or use your account's bank or an empty guild bank for mass deposits/withdrawals, if you have the space and/or guild-permissions.

This account has all 9/9 of my characters at 50/50 smithing, clothing, and woodworking (only 2/9 are 'master-crafters' with all traits/passives). I got my best friend's 2 characters to 50/50 in all 3 and my GF's 1st character at 50/50 in all 3. My GF's 2nd character was made a few days ago and is only lvl 25 or so and I sent her 50 mails two nights ago full of stuff to decon. Got her to 25/50 in smith, cloth, and wood in one sitting of deconning everything. This was done in 50+ mails of 5-6 items in each, with an almost even split between smith/wood/cloth gear, since all 3 leveled relatively evenly across the board.

I just decon everything I get on a new toon. I have 7 characters with max crafting (not traits just level 50) because I wanted hireling on all of them. Only one of them is a master crafter, 3 of them have 10/10 on woodworking, clothing, and blacksmithing so I can do daily writs. The final 3 I have been to lazy to get the skill points required for research/crafting and they are purely for the hireling. Yeah you lose mats that you could use doing it that way instead of intricate but it doesn’t take to long to get them up. As far as traits, I’m lazy and just research what’s in my bank. It’s definitely not the most efficient but it gets it done and doesn’t feel as grindy.

Well, it is not about 50 in crafting profession - this is more about skill points, motifs and traits if you want to make another master crafter. Skill points are doable, but slow. traits are slow, and motifs are very expensive part. So you will need a lot of money and spend some time in group dungeons and cyro (may be) to get extra skill points. I would start with traits and skill points, and collect money for motifs... This will take some time.
