Phishing mail? or genuine do you think

So here's a thing 12:05 I renew my eso+ which had expired last night, 3:05 an email drops into my inbox with all the Eso art work and legit looking email address, 'We'd like to reach out and offer you a special one-time only, buy one month, get one month free ESO Plus membership deal.'

The bit that really has my bells ringing is 'For more information about this special offer, or for information about our Crown Store gifting program, simply reply to this email.'

Reply to this email, that looks strange to me.

It closes with 'Warm Regards,
Mykael
The Elder Scrolls Online Support Team'

If this is a phishing mail it has been very well done, if it is genuine then the timing sucks sending it me exactly 3 hours after i re-subbed anyway.

Any thoughts?

    Seems legit to me. They have been known to send mails like this out

    Though you might wanna get official confirmation first

    Too nervous of clicking it Gythral to see where it sends me, had a read up on the support pages, looking more legit to me.

    Still not 100% though, and you know what they say about if in doubt:)

    Considering that it was Mykael that handled my customer support issue, and the legit email and offical art and so on, I think it's safe enough to say it's legit

    If it's a scam they wont have your payment details stored - ZoS do (as you have been a sub in the past)

    But also hovering over the link should show where it redirects

    Let me guess, you recently canceled a sub or let a sub expire or you have not renewed in a long time or you have never subbed? Your going to get an email like this.

    If anyone who wanted to take advantage of the deal didn't get a response, I'd either reply to that ticket, or open a new one [pretty sure after year it would have expired] and explain. If you initiate the contact to question it, you know where you're sending the question.

    I just gifted two dlc to a guildie friend, and Mykael is the CS rep who handled the purchase.

    But yes, asking @ZOS_GinaBruno to verify is probably a good idea.

    I had one a long time ago. They do exist. Also zos mail has a digtal signature.

    MyKael is a real person I've spoken to him/her via support emails as well. That person is mad helpful, like whoever MyKael is they tried to pull out a W for me but unfortunately I still had to take the L. @ghanimedeb16_ESO

    I got this email and was told it was a limited time offer and also thought it was a little suspicious so I never replied after my first inquiry. Too bad that time has probably expired.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno would I still be eligible if I renew though I got that email a while ago?

    It's legit. I replied to it last month after letting my ESO+ finally lapse after 4 years and they sent a code to get the free month. I used it and it worked so yeah, legit. I think when they see long time subscribers like myself finally start pulling away they send those out to try to catch us back.

    Funny, they didnt give me a code and I have not unsubscribed once lol (except when I did and it obviously got their attention) they just asked me to renew and get a free month

    @ZOS_Holden . Thank you for the clarification, and thanks to all you guys for all the comments.

    I fired a reply back to the email explaining I had missed it by 3 hours and could it still be applicable and in return received the auto canned response directing me to the support center and advising me to open a ticket.
    Seems strange to ask me to reply then drop it in the auto respond pile but anyway there it is, not a phishing mail so I am safe.

    I can't remember if I ever got one or not. If I did I thought it was a scam. After all taking the risk of saving what $22 wasn't worth it at all.

    I never like the "click here" since I can never tell if the site is fake or not. Now if they said to log into our account and get it free that way, would have seemed more legit instead of "click here" and time exclusives.

    Any chance I can get this offer again? :P

    For anyone interested, after a lot of back and forth of email Mykael came good and sorted this out, I received my 30 days free offer.

    I can only say in conclusion that the email could be better worded to avoid the 'is it phishing' concern, also don't ask for a reply if you are then going to put it in the generic 'go see our support forum or file a ticket' pile.

    Nice conclusion to the matter though, ty Mykael
