Guild deposit history

So was wondering if there is a bug or if something was changed recently. I can view the guild deposit history showing items that are deposited by players, but it isn't showing my guild fee money deposits. Is there a reason for this? Reason I am asking is I went to pay my weekly fee today and noticed the guild had me marked as unpaid even though I paid it last week. I pay every week and keep my traders stocked even if I take time away from the game. Have never been denied access to the trader in ESO history. I really don't like this as there is no way to prove my payment other than my personal record book I keep here at home showing the dates and payments I make. So I guess the guild can just say oh well, sucks to be you and try to force me to double pay. Why can't I see my own deposit history when I can see everyones deposit and withdrawal history of mats, gear etc. This makes no sense. I don't care about that stuff or the guilds money, but I do care that I can't prove my own payments. C'mon Zos. How hard can it be?

Two things, it's entirely possible that last week's deposit was simply lost in the big black buggy void that can happen. You deposit the gold, but it doesn't register nor get added to the total gold in the guild, but it does get removed from your account. The main reason for this happening is rendering. You should always let busy hubs load before depositing gold. Otherwise you risk losing gold in the big buggy void i mentioned above. This bug can also affect your personal bank too. Secondly, there may be a setting that the GM can activate that stops people other than the GM and officers from seeing the amount of gold being deposited and withdrawn. some guilds bar their members from seeing the guild gold balance due to rival guilds using that information to outbid any given guild.

Contact ZoS, they'll refund that lost gold if it was indeed caused by a bug. I've had gold refunded back before, so they do sort it for you.

Its a setting by the Guildmaster. If you can't see the amount of gold the guild has you cant see deposits either. I would message your guild master and explain you paid it. They probably have so many to keep track of yours may have got missed by accident.

Not sure if this is what happened to you, but there is a bug. Happened to me (and others I know) a few times when doing my weekly deposit to the guild bank.

You deposit the gold, its deducted from your inventory, but never makes it to the guild bank. So, no record of it. Just disappears into nowhere.

There seems to be no way to tell when it will happen, no way to reproduce it, so I just have a couple things I do to try to minimize the chance of it happening.

First, when I open the guild bank, it defaults into the withdrawal section (even if you dont have permissions). I wait at minimum a full minute (on a slower connection 2 or 3) before I switch to the deposit section. Then another full minute or 2 before making the deposit.

When I bring up the currency deposit box, I type in the amount then I screenshot it. This is for my own records as well (I have a addon clock in the corner of my screen so I even know the time I made the deposit). Then I finalize it.

I always, within a minute check the guild history to make sure my deposit has been recorded. If it doesnt show up within 5 minutes or so, I know there is a problem. I can then alert whoever the guild finance officer is immediately to let them know, as well as ZOS (though honestly Ive never done the latter because I feel its probably a dead end not worth my time).

And last thing, is never try to make multiple deposits at same visit. In one of my guilds, I make 2 gold deposits each week (one for raffle and one for lottery). I make the first deposit with the steps above, then close out the bank completely. Then I wait at least 5 minutes before opening the bank and repeating above for the second deposit. I have found out by leaving the bank open, and just reopening the currency deposit box for the second deposit is a guaranteed way to watch your gold just disappear :-/

We have had this happen to several people in our guild. When making the deposit in the bank wait a full 15 secs before closing the menu or backing out. We give this advice to everyone and if followed the instances of re-occurrence are zero.

On PS4 when making a deposit it will indicate in upper right corner of screen that a deposit has been made. Backing out of deposit screen prior to that notification seems to negate it. I’ve done it a few times but have never lost any funds in my testing just seems like the transaction can get canceled.

It is worth submitting a ticket to ZOS. The one time this happened to me, I reported all the details of the deposit, and support restored the money to my account within an hour.

This is, unfortunately, a known issue that seems to get worse as time passes. One of my guild members made a video to help walk people through the process of getting their gold back: tinyurl.com/reportmissinggold.

The changes to viewing guild bank gold were a necessity to combat bid spying, and I applaud ZOS for taking steps to solve that issue. However, it is incredibly stressful for guild leaders and players alike that deposits go missing so frequently, and there is no way for a player to know that until it is too late.

It would be really great is ZOS could allow for members to ALWAYS see their own deposits, regardless of their permission to view guild gold. This would allow players to more quickly ascertain whether or not their deposits have made it into the bank and to start the reporting process immediately, if necessary.

    Dear LadyDestiny,

While there does seem to be an issue with deposits from time to time you also need to be wary of *** bag GMs that exploit it and take advantage of their guild members. For example, let's say one day you get an offer to join a guild named -I don't know, lets call them Scamriel Balls Treat shall we. And dues are reasonable so you stick around and then one day you're told that your deposit was never received and you're immediately denied access to the trader. The only way to regain access, you're told, is to pay again. The majority of guilds don't work this way. I would strongly suggest you steer clear of them as there are so many that more forgiving and actually care about providing a positive experience for their players.

If belive that if you do not have permission to view guild bank gold you are also not allowed to view the gold deposit/withdrawal history.

Of course this issue could be easily solved if ZOS allowed your OWN deposits/withdrawals to be shown to you.

But this is just another annoying issue that ZOS of course will never fix.

Right and I know they did this because of spying on guilds for bid purposes long ago. It still is no excuse fo not being able to see what you deposit. They can fix this so you just see your own deposits, but of course as you stated they probably won't.
