Originally played Morrowind back in 2002 when I had literally no idea what TES was. My dad bought me the game because he thought I might like it.

Never stopped playing TES games since.

Been on-board since Arena, even the post-Daggerfall spin-offs, & atm only Oblivion is not installed on this PC (need to find a fix for the DVD rootkit on Win10 one day)

I started with Skyrim when it first came out on the xbox 360, then got oblivion on the same system a year or 2 later. Then I got Elder Scrolls Anthology for the PC and finally had access to all 5 on the same system. Once ESO came out, it was only natural that I'd get and play it.

Nah, not at all. I still play them even now.

Sometimes it's a nice break to play the older titles, especially if you're a fan of the lore.

Started with Morrowind.....but I recall working in a computer store when i was younger stocking the shelves with Daggerfall thinking man if only I had a PC that could actually run this....

Tried Morrowind, wasn't impressed don't know why because mechanically it wasn't that different from Oblivion. Tried Oblivion and my social life died for about 2 years. Tried Skyrim and abandoned it after a few months because I felt railroaded into joining all guilds and as a Nord warrior how could I justify joining the Mages Guild or the Bards guild. At least in Oblivion guild membership was optional, and had little effect on the outcome.

Started with Arena and played all the TES games after that... though some not as much as others.

I've played them all, including every expansion.

maybe? but i'm very glad to hear this. strong games don't really age, they just show their character as everything since has moved toward photorealism or different stylization. i just finally picked up Toejam & Earl a month or two ago on Xbox, as i didn't have a Genesis first time around.

i keep hearing more and more good things about Daggerfall's speechcraft system. until recently it seemed all the pre-Morrowind games were sorta discarded. so i gotta get me some Daggerfall (on Linux, hopefully).

I vaguely remember playing Arena, though I was working 80-100 hours a week back then so didn't have much time for computer gaming.

Daggerfall made a bigger impact on me and though I picked up Redguard, I didn't particularly care for it.

Morrowind was awesome, I played it pretty extensively.

Oblivion just took things to the next level, also played it extensively.

Skyrim was damn near the perfect single player RPG and the mod market really allowed it to match it's potential.

I love ESO, but the original veteran grind was just mind numbing, with very little payoff, so I quit playing about 6 months after release. I came back in November and am very happy where the game is at the moment, I wish it had the depth of Skyrim and the ability to shape your environment and really feel like you are part of the story, but doing that with thousands of folks is a pretty big ask.

I started with Oblivion Gosh I hoarded every single thing I could pick up

played in this order:

Oblivion
Morrowind
Skyrim
Arena
Daggerfall (only one I didn't finish, gave up after a half dozen failed attempts with that damned map)
ESO

Morrowind on the XBox was my first... Sigh I was so young then...
My first character was an Argonian because the head looked like one of my fluffy dinosaur toys, I had no idea what I was doing, I ran around naked, somehow ended up in what I later learned was Balmora...

Skyrim. I tried playing Oblivion but it's just too old for me to handle, just the in-game map was not user friendly at all. But a fan team are remaking the entirety of Oblivion (and Morrowind) using Skyrim's Engine, so that may be in my future.
