New level 50 looking for advice on collecting desired gear

Hi!
I have just hit level 50 on my first character, and while I grind out 160 CP I was hoping to get some advice on collecting my end game gear.
I plan on using this popular Were-Warden build - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/351953/updated-introducing-the-were-warden-build-for-wardens

Is there an auction house-esque vendor I should be talking to?
I need to craft a mix of divines pelinals / briarheart but can't seem to find anyone who can and I don't even know how expensive this would be.
Would it be easier to try and craft the set myself? My profession skills are all around 20~ and I have been trying to research Divines for each armor slot.
I did subscribe for 1 month and have access to the DLC (I plan on playing through Wrothgar for the CP as the set that drops is good)

I understand the Monster Sets - I would need to do Wayrest Sewers for Slimecraw, I have been saving my keys for 160.

I guess I still feel pretty clueless / lost, so any advice is appreciated, and if anyone can craft these sets let me know :)

Briarheart is a dropped only set

Pelinials is a crafted set. Ask in zone chat for a crafter. Be sure and have all materials on hand and gold for a tip before asking for help.

That’s correct about monster set. Do wayrest, get the helmet you want. Then after saving keys use it on the correct box (google it) and pray for the best.

    Good luck.

Crafting/research are time consuming. If you'd like, msg me on PSN and I can craft you that Pelinal's. I would recommend Hunding or similar first, though. Depending on what cp it is I could probably do it free.

I can also help you with some of the weird little questions. This game has a huge learning curve, but once you get it down you've got it.

Do your farming in a group, soooooo much quicker.

You'll need 50 in crafting & a certain number or researched traits in order to craft sets (e.g. you need to know 6 for Hundings Rage, doesn't matter which ones). You can find crafters pretty easy in zone chat, who will charge a set price for sets, or get into a guild where you'll just get asked for materials.

Briarheart set is expensive, especially in jewellery (I've seen around 100k a piece in guild traders, purple) - you may want to wait on this one for summerset to land as the quickest way to get this one is to a) buy it b) go chest hunting in Wrothgar.

*Guild traders are located around the map & 5/6 in each major city, they are traders where other people list their items for their desired price*

Briarheart drops from Wrothgar. If you have the DLC, its very easy to farm from chests, though the jewelry drops in healthy, robust, and arcane. You can also buy this from Guild Vendors.

You can also keep an eye on the Golden Vendor in Cyrodiil, who sells random monster helms or shoulders on the weekends and hope that Slimecraw comes up.

Pelinals Aptitude requires 9 traits researched to craft pieces of the set. So you'll probably need to hire a 9-trait crafter.

If you are going to need to transmute something (like your Slimecraw helm or shoulders as thats the hardest RNG) you might start collecting transmute stones. The easiest way to get 50 in one shot is to join a 30-day PVP campaign and reach the 1st tier campaign rewards. You'll get a 50 stone geode at the end of the campaign.

    1. Save for CP160. Otherwise, at least dont make stuff gold, purple is enough (and gold is most noticeable on weapons).

    2. If you are a crafter which you seem to be (and you should be on your main, regardless of your playstyle, imo :) ), use hundings rage if you can, it´s just generally good.

Pelinal builds are really interesting IMO, but I wouldnt start there... you need a good skill that scales off spell damage, and even then I am not sure.

    Briarheart can´t be crafted.

If you´re not in a guild, get in one and ask a crafter if you need stuff crafted; it should only cost you the materials (which you should supply) and a tip, perhaps.

If you are a stamina character, spriggan is still a decent set to farm for since it´s overland. Otherwise, look around guild stores for cheap equipment, though I dont know how prevalent sub-160 gear really is.

IMO you should probably craft your own good sets (hunding´s, fortified brass if you need defense) for now, if you can.

Oh and congratulations on hitting lvl 50 :)

EDIT: IMO you should just play for fun until CP160; if you want to be a werewolf, get the Malabal Tor set, or crafted Hunding´s. Don´t bother with maxing DPS; the difference won´t really matter IMO. Also, get to lvl 50 in all crafting professions and make sure you keep those 3 research slots filled for all 3 equipment crafting skills.

Thanks much for the info everyone!
I'll be looking through the suggested sets and working on upping my crafting (though I'll probably just tip someone to craft for me since I can see lvl50 taking a while).
From what I've read you can hit 160 in a few hours, especially with a group, so I'll try and find a guild.
I did not really understand the guild traders until now so I'll have to check those out, though I only have around 45k gold.

I found this neat website for crafting materials, so I'll start working on mats for pelinials.

I know you didnt ask for it, but I thought I´d share my tips since I´ve leveled so many crafters (I really should stop deleting my characters):

For woodworking / blacksmith /clothier, you just want to deconstruct everything you find that isn´t ornate or researchable. You don´t need to put any points into the main crafting skilline until you hit lvl50 CP160, just max research slots, hireling and deconstruction return. Don´t refine anything until you have maxed that out; you can save all raw mats for later. Save 9 points for when you are actually going to craft.

For provisioning, since you dont have multicraft, you might want to do some button mashing. Get so you can use up to lvl 15 or 30 recipes, then mash that recipe. On PC, get multicraft and craft 200 servings when alttabbed.

For alchemy, eat one of each ingredient unless you know the 1st trait (I think wortcraft still increases skill, not sure). Then spam out potions for cheap ingredients (no columbine!) and you´ll level it really quickly. Buy ingredient stacks if you need, and put some points in for higher level potions = more XP.

For enchanting, deconstruct all glyphs you find, and buy cheap (100 gold or below) CP160 glyphs from the guild stores. (this was a big gold sink for me, but it´s a decent way to spend gold in the game). If you have more than one character you want to level, it can help to ping-pong glyphs - have one character create them and the other deconstruct them, then repeat in the opposite direction.

Really, while leveling to CP160, you should just use the various dropped sets that are out there. You might find you like a Sustain set (Regen or Cost Reduction) over say a Damage or Critical Set. You never know until you wear the gear and try your style of playing. Doing this now is best as you won't feel guilty about throwing out some armor you don't' want because your outleveling it.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yeah I'm not worried about my current gear, I just wanted to do what I could while grinding CP to prepare for the end-game.
I do a lot of dungeons and generally have a decent set going.

And thanks for the crafting info.
I've been collecting/deconstructing most everything I find - thank the gods for the eso+ craft bag
