Are there any swords you would like to see in game

I personally would like to see things like the schiavona from assassins creed II, or some similar elder scrolls version of it. I can definitely see it in a type of nobility motif in the future are there any swords you would like to see I'd also like a simple straight sword or broad swords design in game

I would like to see swords that don't look like paddles (most greatswords look like that), also less ridiculous designs, like huge broad blades with tiny thin hilts.

Also I would like to see some of the swords or weapons from the TES lore. Chillrend, Ebony Blade, Dawnbreaker, etc.
Maybe have them as a visual that you can unlock by doing a chain quest, similar to the daedric quests in the previous titles.

Maybe like raid events Where you can acquire rare artifacts after a certain score that accumulates over time

I think they are pretty much covered by the various cosmetic styles out there, but functionally are the same. In practice those swords had pretty different usages though. For example a rapier would mostly have been used for precise thrusting attacks, to pierce the enemy, while something like a claymore would be used more for slashing but also some hard thrusting in between the armor plates or an enemy.

There are a lot of sword visuals in the game, many of them that could be taken as broadsword of longsword (even tho their hilts usually are a bit more like hand-and-a-half swords, which I assume is to make for less issues in varying character sizes?); look for the "iron" versions if you like "simple"...

Which would make sense, of course, considering that we are in a dark age to early medieval styled universe in ESO, and basket hilts did not really become a thing until -after- the end of the medieval period and during the renaissance... 16th to 18th century or so...
...on the other hand, it -would- also make a great deal of sense to have a gaudy gem-encrusted "noble" crafting style, and since tamriel is a different world, it does not have to stay glued to the current style range, but could add basket hilts there...

Me, I am quite happy with the choices of sword visuals in the game. Or those for other weapons. And we are always getting more too... (though I -really- would appreciate it if they at least locked the weapon visuals in the outfit system to their repective type - no more "looks like mace, hits like axe" stuff!)

Asylum greatsword seems to have one of those, but in fact the grip is much lower. IRL such a hilt wouldn't make sense since an enemy's blade would slip past it but still cut your hand in the process.

...except is doesn't, since a -basket hilt- by definition has a guard that -encloses- the hand. This sword just has a nice ring guard, eastern style tsuba meets clockwork artificer, or something like that...

Now, I am guessing the reason we don't get that in ESO might perhaps be animations and clipping issues... and perhaps the aforementioned "doesn't fit general medieval style" thing...

I respect your opinion on the matter but I'll have to disagree on this point, I'm a stamblade dps main, I have to use daggers but I prefer sword visuals, if I want my nightblade to have a katana to be all ninja like then so I can and yet I can still use my daggers. I'm not forced in to visuals I don't want.

The German grossemesser and kriegsmesser (literally "big knife" and "war knife:, two of my favorite real world swords):

Not sure if these would be 1h or 2h though, they were hand and a half swords that could be used either way

Well, we can agree to disagree then.
I just think if you want something to look like a sword, you should have to -use- an actual sword, not a dagger, not an axe, not a mace, but a sword.
Or play with dagger visuals and take a long short-sword style dagger for your mainhand dagger and a shorder parrying dagger style visuals for your offhand dagger...
