Did you guys finally adapt to heavy attacks in your rotations/fights?

Just wondering, since I remember that +90% of the community complained (me included) when ZOS decided to make changes to resource gain.

Are you nowadays completely used to heavy attacking to restore stamina and/or magicka?

Thank you.

I went the other way. I pretty much just stopped fighting.

Magsorc, so lightning staff heavy attack was part of the rotation anyway.

Pretty much. I use 3 HAs in every rotation now.

Yep, standard part of my rotation now...2 HA basically fill me back up. I can go on forever.

My magsorc didn't notice since heavy attacks were (and are) her 'spammable' while her AoE DoTs are working.

My healplar kept Seducer and added Channel Focus. Rarely uses heavy attacks.

My Bow/bow stamsorc was hit the hardest since heavy attacks are suicidal to bow/bow builds. She has to manage stamina carefully and uses Dark Deal to help. That said, she gets by pretty well since her light attacks hit really hard and volley/caltrops does most of her work.

Played magplar, magdk and magsorc since the sustain nerfs. I have never ran a build that relies on heavy attacks. Light attack rotations have always been possible and very strong.

People just love to complain without actually changing their build. They'd rather copy and paste builds from QQing streamers

No. I dont want to play magicka characters anymore. Only play stamblade, the only one that doesnt have to heavy attack.

I have worked them in on my 2H stamplar but not on my other stam characters, they don't seem to depend on it as much. As for my mag characters, I don't play them as often and have not made a focused effort to do so but do find myself working it in more than I did in the past.

Nope... makes fighting feel awkward and clumsy (and that's when I'm doing well!), personally wish the game only had light attacks.

Well... ive adapted very well to the changes but, i dont like it, I still hate it everytime I have to do 2 consecutive HA.

I play on magblade, so siphoning attacks + clockwork food are solving the heavy attack issue

Easy to adapt with lightning or resto staff builds. Grudgingly adapted with anything else.

A year later and weaving 2HD, DW, 1HD+S or even fire or frost staves HAs into rotations still feels like an awkward necessity. It was a fun sucking change, no 2 ways about it.

I make my builds and rotations specifically to avoid using them, generally that means Skoria helm and Witchmother's.

My magblade just runs blue food though and he's fine as long as the healers are using ele drain for me.

I've been able to keep pretty good sustain by throwing a Migicka drain glyph on my Asylum Staff and one heavy attack between bar swaps. DPS did drop around 4k when Dragon Bones released.

magsorc, I've always used heavy attacks in the rotation due to the 2 handed passive that adds 10% damage to the next direct attack.

Edit: Maybe everyone already knows this but you don't have to complete the heavy attack for the 10% damage to kick in, you just need to start it.

Always used heavy attacks in the rotation, just feels right to me, I love that big wind up then bang and I’m a patient player by nature, I’m not in a rush, to be honest when the sustain changes came in it made little diffrence to me :|

I spend my life avoiding heavy attacks. I hate them. Don't do them unless I have to.
