Have you ever stuck around at the end of a quest, pledge, or group dungeon to get the REAL reward??

The flavor text at the end of an event is truly entertaining. I had always been kicked out before I got to listen to it all, or wandered away from the final boss before it finished... I believe that as a gamer, you want to get the maximum time of enjoyment per gaming dollar, and I hope ZOS never caves to "rushins" but continues to provide "post-boss flavor text..."

Hmmm.... I have been playing ESO for four and a half years and had not encountered all that ZOS had offered in those group events til right now... It's like not finishing the book many times but knowing how "A Tale of Two Cities" starts.

I'll stick around if someone needs to turn in the quest until they say they are done. That's just polite to do.

Otherwise, I've already heard it, because when I wanted to pay attention to the story of the dungeon, I did the dungeon with a group of friends who also wanted to pay attention to the story. That method works great, maybe you should try it instead of continuing to complain about "rushins".

I'll gladly listen to it once. I'll also stick around if someone else wants to listen. If nobody else needs it, I'm off to my next thing. I have no need to hear it each time I'm there.

I've done it many times in pre-mades, but not in PUGs. I always get a good laugh at Heem-Jas' epic and super-late charge into the room.

I draw the line at the end of Banished Cells I though. I cringe every time I enter that dungeon because of the dialogue.

Not true.... Just because you've had a book for 4 years... doesn't mean you know the ending... Lots of people can tell you that "A Tale of Two Cities" starts with "It was the best of times; it was the worst of times...." But few know how it ends...

Don't think this really has much to do with it. My first successful FG run at like level 14 day after launch people just left right away.

    It's a sad ending. :-(

Also, in Ruins of Mazzatun, the ending depends on how you played the dungeon.

On one of my alts, I am GOING to run the dungeons slowly, where I actually listen to dialogue. I've got pretty much every dungeon done on my main and couldn't tell you half the stories. I've even done some with friends but some people do not want to wait and they don't mind if you read, but they're gonna charge ahead anyway. So off into the fray I go with only the slightest clue of what is going on.

Wish you could toggle a story mode version of the dungeons and redo them solo strictly for the story (no skill point, etc at the end)

What’s the count up to on the “i get mad cuz people don’t wanna waste time” threads OP has made. It’s up to 4 at least by now.

Anyway, yeah obviously we’ve heard the scripted end of quest VO and now most of us are tired of it so we don’t listen to it anymore.

“Atavaar!” still haunts my thoughts and I’d love to never hear it again.

If by "REAL reward" you mean running back to the start of the dungeon looking for any missed heavy sacks or chests? Yes. I ALWAYS do that when in a guild group.

If you're talking dialog, I've already heard that 3 million times. I don't need to listen to it again.

After a while, you get enough gear and CP you can solo through them all, doing the quests, and watch them to the end without worry of getting booted. There's maybe a couple end bosses in Version 2's that are a bit tough to solo but still doable.

There are a lot of group dungeons where I have not heard the dialog because in the 4 years I have been playing, it seems everyone has done the place already. Lucky we have a guild group dungeon night where we can putter and listen and not get to worked up on how fast the place is getting done.

Try and run one of those events in your guild, you would be surprised at how many will show up to run group dungeons if they can without a lot of fuss that pugs can bring to the mix and discover the story and enjoy the views. Some of these group dungeons are simply gorgeous, and most of the time, we never get to "see" them in our chase from one mob to the next.

When I am soloing a quest, I get very much into it, focusing on the NPCs and thinking about what they're saying. Leisurely listening to all the dialog and taking my time.

Grouping is totally another matter. When grouped, I fast click through whatever dialog I'm supposed to click on to get out of it as quickly as possible - so I can stack on the crown and focus on my job (healing my group). I like being a group healer but while in that mode, the quests may as well not even be there. I've tried taking the time to listen while grouped and it is a waste of time (in one ear and out the other) because I remain totally focused (distracted) by fulfilling my role in the group.

No offense, but you can speak for yourself, not for me. Just because you wandered away or got booted and thus missed the ending doesn't mean I did when I had a group where we were specifically experiencing the whole story.

Yet you continue to insist that because you missed something, therefore I must have. Which is what I object to, because I havent and I dislike you telling me I'm lying or mistaken. But this is the third time I've had to repeat myself and it will hopefully be the last.

Edited to add: I'm sorry if I was impolite about pointing out the reading comprehension. I get annoyed when I'm told I'm mistaken or lying about what I've done in game, especially when you are clearly projecting your experiences onto me, even when Ive clearly described our different circumstances. Please don't do that in the future.
