I'm making a new character since I have a lot of free time at the moment and since I'm not able to access the pts I would like to hear your opinions on how the classes will fair.

Oh and do you think there will be enough time to level the toon trough questing till June? I recently power leveld a magdk during the event and I'm pretty shure that power leveling another will suck out the joy of this game, at least for a while

Powerleveling through questing will suck out the joy more then leveling at dolmens I think, because you will have to skip all conversations. Personally, when I go questing, I prefer to take it slow. Otherwise it just feels like I skipped content

No power leveling just regular questing

    Stamden

And why not level the character while questing through summerset?

Id say that yes even casual questing with random dailies etc and the odd xp pot you will easily level it to 50 in a few weeks. Easily.

    PvP or PvE...

    Trials, Dngs, Role Play...etc...

It helps if you add context.

Don't bother with a stamplar. Repentance is a joke and you will be kicked for using it.

Nobody is getting kicked for using repentence...unless your group are idiot elitists.

Nobody will want a stamplar for any progression trial or score hunting guilds anymore with summerset.

For PvP both have powerful merits.

I think in open world stamden has more group utility

In a straight up duel though? Stamplar by far. cleanse and PoL are worth far more than the delayed stamden abilities

    PvP perspective;
Stamplar is sexy, Stamden is strong.

    Why?

Because score-hunting implies that they go for the highest score that they can manage, so that means that you also want capable people in the MOST capable classes/setups. So while a stamplar is capable, other classes/setups can do better. And the stamplar was able to give enemies a unique debuff in the shape of minor fracture/breach, but now that debuff is also given by the sunderflame set, which means that stamplars lose their unique value.

    The casual discussion:
Stamina Warden is better since you have fast access to all major buffs and debuffs through class skills: Subterranean Assault (Major Fracture), Green Lotus (Major Savagery), Bull Netch (Major Brutality), Ice Fortress (Major Resolve, Major Ward, Minor Protection), a decent burst heal from Soothing Spores, and smaller hels from Green Lotus and stamina sustain from Bull Netch. Also the Feral Guardian will draw some aggro from mobs and make them easier to kill them. This makes for a very strong solo setup. For example I was able to solo nearly all world bosses in the base game before I unlocked Vigor. On the other hand Templar only has access to Major Savagery from Biting Jabs, and Minor Fracture & Breach from Power of the Light as class skills, the rest of the buffs need to be made available through either potions or weapon skills. Arguably you can get Major Fracture from wearing Night Mother's Gaze in Summerset patch since that set has been dumbed down buffed if you are a solo player, but that comes to the expense of using something else.

    The end game discussion:
Repentance is a problem in a group only if you have multiple Stamina Templars using it. I have yet to see a trial group with more than one of those. Ideally you should bring one from the debuff and the added damage from Power of the Light, as well as the Minor Sorcery from the Illumination class passive. Even with Sunderflame providing Minor Fracture & Minor Breach next patch, Stamina Templar is still better for the other 2 buffs. Stamina Warden only provides AoE Major Fracture for 5s, since the Major Breach is being removed from Subterranean Assault and moved to the other morph, Deep Fissure, but you can get the same from Stamina DK Noxious Breath - it lasts longer and DK also has higher single target damage output without the use of troublesome skills - the Feral Guardian triggers certain unwanted mechanics (ex. vAA chain lightning) and dies a lot in trials with high cleave damage. One plus for the Warden is that he can slot Leeching Vines and add the Minor Lifesteal debuff to enemies that hit him, and thus heal the group. Also he can provide some off-heals with Green Lotus heavy attacks if he's already at full health, but those are not that important since healing usually suffices.

No you haven't lmao. I've played a stamplar for 3 years almost exclusively pugging vet dungeons. I haven't even been kicked once either. Maybe consider other possibilities

Also Summerset will not eliminate the niche use for Stamplars that is a fast charging aoe ultimate for War Machine and POTL. Even magicka characters benefit from that. Group penetration for magicka is rare and no one is going to run poisons or Sunderflame instead.

Trust and believe pve guilds will appreciate a stamplar. A stamwarden isn't going to be as competitive because they really give nothing to a group, their ultimates aren't great for trials, and stamina for the sake of damage runs is getting benched this patch.

It would truly be awesome if ZOS could give minor courage ( the new buff) to the warden, for example whenever you heal an ally

Hard to choose. They’re my favorite two classes to play.
