What in your opinion is going to be the new PVE Meta? What's going to be the Big Dog dps?

Back to MagSorcs or MagDKs?

Are MagBlades dead like Wardens?

Opinions?

Magblades arent dead. They still have the spammable with the highest dps (concealed weapon)
And the way elemental weapon works on pts it will be a very good and cheap spammable aswell.

I thinm magdks will be very strong with elfbane and zaan

I mean, they rolled out a ton of class changes intitally. Why don’t we see how those play out on Live before announcing the death of ESO (yet again), or before asking for more changes? Psijic skills are also quite disruptive and we don’t know how well those fit into certain classes or to what degree.

P.S. I’ve never had an issue playing Magdens because I recognize their absolute utility. Pretty much every buff in the game on one class. Tuning them won’t be easy.

It will be very similar to what we have now, except some minor alterations. MDK will finally become viable maybe even top dogs, while stamdks will suffer a bit with the changes LA and HA, but will boast even more sustain.

Stamplar sustain is still meh, magplar is on the lower end.
Stamden still nice sustainability, while magden remains the runt of the litter.
Stamsorc and magsorc benefits a lot from the bound armament change.
Stamblade not really changed and magblade well have to see which spammable will be used

    @Peekachu99

I'm just trying to get some information on what the new PVE "Best Builds" will be. What will the Trial Groups run? What should I start working on now before Summerset drops.

I'm on PS4NA and would like to get a jump on the competition since consoles will drop last.

Uhh, no one said anything about the death of ESO.

I don't get why magplars are unviable; whether people are doing vet dungeon runs or vet trial runs or pvp or whathaveyou, healers are still needed, no? And magplars are great at that.

I mean, if you're looking for solo dps I guess not, but solo dps is a subset of scenarios.

I doubt MDK will become top dogs per say simply because Magblade has access to minor beserk ontop of the crit damage ability and light attack ability coming with the psijic skill line. They wont be far behind though, they will either be on par with them or just below them.

I haven't seen magDKs parsing as high as Magblades either.

So far it seems it'll be Magsorcs and Magblades on top of ranged DPS with an edge given to Magblades. MagDK is now competitive in melee DPS but the better stam classes are still pulling higher.

Huh, I thought mag would be dominant this patch?

Alls ive heard from stam users is complaints (idk how warranted they are though) or did you just mean stam vs MDK generally?

No, Stamblades at least are still parsing much higher than MagDKs. The gap is obviously narrower than pre-Summerset but its significant enough to warrant running them over MagDKs. I believe Stamsorcs are also looking pretty good in terms of dps numbers.

It helps that stam is getting a set that adds 6k sustained dps

Tbh this just means, that mag-ranged pulls more than mag-melee, which is crap imo and something they couldn't really fix since homestead.

    Healers of all classes

5 spc or vestment depends on situation
    5 guidance
    2 monster set
    1 arena staff

This will be most popular setup because it allows usage of arena staff and monster set. Other options with be subpar.
