I still have not received mine. Been checking every day since people started getting them. At this point I'm about to just give it a rest and wait until the 16th. Less disappointing that way

Thank you. I read some PC player claim they got them today. I wont be able to check for mine until late this afternoon.

Thank you. I read some PC player claim they got them today. I wont be able to check for mine until late this afternoon.

I got mine on PC NA this morning. I don’t look forward to them like some people do so I must be first on the distribution list.

I got my free crates today, notables were: the dro-m'athra motif, two costumes, a face accessory, and... the red radiant apex mount! \o/ I didn't have anywhere near such good luck with my bought 15 crate pack, and got all these from just 6... curiouser and curiouser

yes, got them today, and surprisingly, maintenance ended earlier than normal. Usually it's not done before 8am ET, but today, it was already finished at about 7:15am

I coulda stayed in bed though <g>...not much to see here...

The one main thing that I got that others may ooh & aah over, but i didn't have any use, was a peryite dragon statue...another semi-cool thing was a scalecaller levitation rune memento...beyond that, a couple face/body tattoos, couple pets that I don't need/like, some poisons, a few tri-pots, about a half dozen XP buff scrolls that i will use but don't need. As Felix Ungar would have said, "fmeh"...that's not a complaint, just an observation <g>

I must've gotten lucky. I managed to nab the only thing I was remotely interested in: the zombie skin. I wasn't going to grab any crates as I never do, but I'll take free crates and whatever they drop. Not interested in any of the mounts TBH. I'm still happy with my Frost Horse from release and my character can only ride one horse at a time anyway, so what's the point?

Surprisingly I got exactly what I was hoping for, the Frost Bear Mount. I also got the zombie skin, which is kinda cool. Overall pretty happy with my free crate stuff!

congrats on the skin...conversely, I got the one thing that I hoped that I wouldn't, a pet cat <g>....hehehe, sorry folks, some families are dog families, some are cat families, some both, mine was strictly a dog family...but seriously, I know what you mean about the mounts...I try to use different mounts & different pets on my various chars, to try to match the char, but I'm not gonna spend money on them....

Posted in another thread, but here's what I got this morning. (PC NA)

Nothing exciting (which is about standard). I'm only disappointed I didn't get more duplicates to trade for gems, but I still went from 34 to 60 so not bad. How...exciting that my one bonus card was purple (I didn't even realize that was a thing).

Not sure why people spend real money on these but, hey. They were free. Maybe eventually something will end up in a season of crates that I will want to use my gems for, but it ain't this one.

PC/NA

Earned all 6 crates:
4 Non-combat Pets (one duplicate)
2 XP scrolls
2 Emotes
1 Riding Speed scroll
1 Hat
1 Face Marking
1 Body Marking
Assorted pots, poisons, food (gem fodder)

Only pulled a 5th card once (one of the pets). I converted everything I could to gems except the XP scrolls and riding scrolls (I have a baby Templar that will appreciate them).

While I appreciate the free crates, this just solidifies why I don’t buy them... It’s not even about the money. Drop rates on legendary & apex items are too low to interest me and I have little to no use for most anything else they contain. Even the rate of exchange for gems feels low. I’ve saved up 96 gems over the last 4 free crate events; not even enough to purchase a legendary reward item. Next time, perhaps.

Bottom line: I just don’t enjoy opening them enough to spend real money on them.

Fun times!

Did normal pray to rngess and tossed in a few goats. I heard rngess also likes cats but I am no monster.

Unfortunately or fortunately ended up with many items I had already. I also lucked and got a banner and super xp scroll. Turned into gems to have a total of about 110 from free crates.

I considered for a moment, then looked at legendary section. There was now quite a few to be fancied and adored. Did I want magma scamp? My sorc loving self considered it ...but as cool as fire scamp looked put it aside as cold is more my thing. Next considered dragon statue but as last would need 3 for my dream. So in the end decided to full fill the dream and get the elk.(aka reindeer)

With gems left over considering beaded skull cap and come get some but waiting till new hair comes out.

Overall was fun had small bit of thrill and feel rewarded.

I got nothing I wanted. All blue cards (one per box), rest were common potions etc. No 5th bonus cards. All converted to gems. I bought the frost caller memento.

During the last free crate event I opened mine thinking that I will at least be able to add to my gem total to get something I want in the future. I will do the same this time, the RNG is too low to get too excited.

They really should increase the odds. It would make these things much more exciting, and likely improve the Crown Crate reputation. I mean most of us seem to go in expecting to be disappointed.

I think what would be really fantastic (and thus will never happen) would be that they would allow ALL items to be exchanged for gems. If I don't want that ugly shroom beetle thing, I can shove it back from whence it came. For duplicates, give returns much closer or directly equal to gem cost of item (seems crappy to get such a low return on something you already own). Keep the current turn-in value for stuff people get that they don't want but don't already own. Items contained within the crates would be much more obtainable and not leave people with collections clogged with a whole bunch of junk they have absolutely zero interest in.

Agreed. I too have many collectables from crates that I have no intention of using, and would have instantly converted them into gems.

The last crates I bought were the Storm Atronoch ones due to really wanting one of the mounts which I did not get. There had been a crown sale sometime before they were available, and so I had stocked up. I bought at least sixty of them, and so I realized the odds, and since have not spend any more crowns on them.

The free ones are great, and I think it's a nice reward for loyal subscribers. I wish they would make a free crown crate event for subscribers every month. It would make a great incentive to remain, or begin subscribing if we had a reliable frequently of the crates events.
