In terms of 'realism' and I realize this is a fantasy, but a jazzersize outfit is not armor and will never look like armor. In that line of thinking I would like to see the Nedic helm for instance at the very least have chain hanging down to protect the throat/neck. It drives me nuts that you would have a heavy armor like Nedic or Breton and not cover the neck, one of the most important vitals and targets with a sword. The hip things are fine by I like when there is protection in front of the groin, this is reasonable as well because you have major arteries running up the legs (which would be pumping even more vigorously in combat) and the groin. In fact the groin was often how Knights were dealt with, as this area often had the least protection (as well as under the arms). The joints were weak points that would normally not be targets due to the effectiveness of all those plates. I like the lighter armors like the Segmentata and such but I really would like to see some greater realism considerations for the armors. In my view armors like Breton and Nedic would look much better by covering up the neck than by leaving them exposed.
This is why we don't let people like you design the game, it would turn into one of those weird Japanese *** games within a month... -_-
You will love summerset, yes they are medium / heavy but its no issue with armor styles. Also, more skirts for light armour. So you can mix+match tops and bottoms to make your own "robes".
