Refund on recent purchases?

I bought 14k crowns 2 days ago in anticipation of Princely Dawnlight Palace. Of course I would have waited if I knew about the crowns sale, and I could have saved $20. I'm guessing ZOS does not do refunds, but it would be nice, say, from the May 2018 announcement until yesterday.

Contact them and ask. The worst that can happen is they say no. I bought Morrowind the day before they announced it free with Summerset. I contacted them and asked politely if anything could be done and they refunded it. Never hurts to ask.

I thought so. I asked if there was anything they could do, maybe some crowns or something and they gave me a full refund. I thought it was awesome customer service.

Did you buy the expansion on steam or via their online store? I figured steam would be incredibly tough to get a refund from.

Online store. I bought the game when it originally came out so I don't have it on Steam.

Well, Customer Service didn't offer me a refund, but 20% extra crowns. That's reasonable to me.

I guess it's good they offered you something, but 14,000 crowns at 63.99 is 218.78crowns per dollar. 16,800 crowns at $79.99 is only 210.02 crowns per dollar.

Math should be comparing 14k at $99 (what I purchased), and getting 2800 extra, because currently 14k crowns are 79.99. So I got 16.8k at $99.

I forgot they displayed the sale price. But the math actually stays the same, you get 4% fewer crowns when they increase the amount by 20% versus decreasing the price 20%.
