Blood magic question

So the blood magic passive for sorcerors under the dark magic skill line heals you for 8% of your max health when 'hitting' with a dark magic ability.

The wording on this is a little imprecise - I'm wanting to know if the heal is applied whenever you hit with an initial cast, or whenever you deal damage with a dark magic ability.

For example, when using the ultimate (Suppression field), it damages enemies every second. Does this mean you're gaining 8% of your max health every second that an enemy is in the field, or do you only get the 8% on the initial cast?

    Right now only the initial cast of the spell gives HP. But they've updated the passive on PTS saying ''this passive triggers every 0.5 seconds'' meaning they might be considering a fix/buff for this.

    Negate damages enemies every half a second btw.

    On PTS Suppression field doesn't seem to trigger Blood Magic at all.
    Crystal Shard does on every hit, so do Mines unless several hit within 0.5 seconds.
    Rune Prison and Encase trigger it when the target it CC'd. Encase won't trigger if you refresh it before the root has run out, though.
