Yes. It can be. A lot of people here wait until sales to stock up on crowns, to the extent that the sale price, for many, represent the baseline price. A quick search through threads under "crown sale" will show how applicable this is. So halving the reduction actually equates to a 33% increase.
Not being argumentative, just trying to help you see from other people's view point.
So if we are unhappy about something (e.g. an effective price increase) we should just shut up and say nothing??!

Don’t buy. That will demonstrate your disgruntled reaction to the discount.
I have never heard of anyone walking into a store and complaining to the manager about the prices.
They just don’t buy

Have you ever worked in a store by any chance?
People that are "complaining" do NOT want eso to die the slow death and/or are passionate in eso to go the 'right' direction not its current one.
Plus 99% of players cant access the forums because of the effort thats forced to get a account going. Not because they dont want to, more so they cant be bothered dealing with the automated responses.

You mean like the people stating the fact that the crown discount this time isn’t as large as the discounts that came before?

Actually yes. If I bought something from the store for $39.99 and then it goes on sale for $24.99, you better believe I would return it and buy it again.
