Is it time to give all players the craft bag without subcription?

Ima eso plus subscriber and have been for years. But i come to realize this is the only reason why i still have a craft bag... only thing you get from eso + that I care bout is dlc and craft bag.

But this craft bag is such a need in this game that just imagining not having one would make me not want to play this game.

Some players have 14/14 characters with full bank space and full storage chest inventory.

Why? Because they have to sit on so many reagents and random armor styles etc.

I think to make craft bag only available to subscribers for this long is a mistake. I guarantee this decision has pushed thousands if not millions away from the game. And you cant blame them craft bag is a need in this game. But its blocked by a monthly sub...

I feel like zos is worried if they give it out free there will be outrage by the subscribers. But in reality who cares worst comes to worst you lose subscribers but you hold on to the players that are debating whether or not the craft bag is a deal breaker to them.

I know that I would cancel my ESO+ if the craft bag was made available to everyone, and that is why it will probably never be made available to everyone.

It's the primary reason I subscribe. They know it's a huge incentive to subscribe. I don't think they will ever give it away free.

Beta was the time to do this.

Any moment after that would have sufficed, too.

I really dislike that this game uses it's own frustrating, limiting inventory system to incentivize subbing, but I guess it is what it is. Even a "limited" craft bag (say, one stack per mat, tops) would be amazing in terms of reducing the space it takes just to store a variety of crafting style stone, for instance.

I'm all for supporting this idea but ONLY IF they get a good enough replacement for us subscribers on ESO+.

I would pay a sub regardless but I know for a fact 90% of subs exist only for the craft bag.

    Ask anyone ingame.

    Nope.

I stand by the claim that more than half of the active players are paying for ESO Plus, and the craft bag is the biggest reason why.

The whole point of the craft-bag was to make subscribing more attractive and to reward those who continued to sub after the sub-only model was changed to buy-to-play. I don't think it would be fair to offer it to everybody, and would certainly make subbing pretty pointless.

No. But it's time to move Elder Scrolls Online to a free to play model where the base game is free and u just buy the DLC, Crown Store items, etc. The base game sells for less than $10 now so their not making their profits from that and this would generate a new additional stream of players each month. The free to play model is the future, just look at the success of Fortnite.

I agree, the craft bag is pretty much pay to win, but what you can do is fill your mules up then buy 1 month eso+, which empties their inventory, rinse , repeat.

Until people stop buying the game, why should they make the base game free? There are certain advantages to selling that initial game, and once they make the jump, they can't go back. Best to wait until it is absolutely needed, and we ain't nowhere near that time, by my estimation.

DLCs and crafting bag are only reasons why I've been subbed for so long. Like earlier posters said, I'd drop my sub in a heartbeat if crafting bag would become free.

Makes no sense for them to give it away free.

OK, so you want the Crafting Bag to be available without a Subscription. What do you propose to replace it with that gives me the same value for my sub?

People asking for this do not realize it will be the death of the game if this was to happen, simply because so many would unsub, the financial model of ZOS would probably not survive unless some things you don't want to happen became part of the Crown Store. The day this was announced would be the day I would ditch my sub.

So, really, pay your sub if you want the crafting bag.

Yes downside with an total F2P game is that you get way more trolls and boots.
Rater have more and longer play for free sessions.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yes. It is. And I say that as someone who has subscribed since before there was a craft bag and will continue subscribing after.

It's just such a HUGE quality of life improvement that it should be part of the base game.

The only value I see for ESO+ is the craft bag. Without it, the sub has no value. The 10% gains are worthless and there aren't enough sub perks to keep it going.

Give this to everyone, and subs tank within hours.

I'll support the craft bag being given to everyone if there's an equal or greater value to replace it for ESO+ members.

I hate to say it, but the craft bag is the best value add for ESO+.

Now that I wrote this, that's actually pretty sad. :disappointed:

You’ve acknowledged that the craft bag is the only reason you subscribe, and you want them to give it to you for free. What’s the business incentive? They want more subscribers, not more players who stay without paying.

I say this as someone who stopped my sup last March and had to learn to live without the craft bag. Eliminating the sub requirement would be great for me, and terrible for Zeni. They should not do that.
