So, the next BIG expansion, where do you think we're going next?

Right now, I can see three major areas on the map with tons of unexplored territory in them:

1) Elseweyr, Southern Cyrodiil, and most of Black Marsh.
2) The rest of Skyrim + Solstheim.
3) The rest of Hammerfell and Western Cyrodiil.

Personally, I'd like to see more of Skyrim come back, especially Whiterun and the Throat of the World. We could even see Winterhold before most of it collapsed. As for what the story could be about, I'm thinking it would have to be something dragon-related. Even though the dragons aren't due back for another couple thousand years, it would be a huge shame to get to explore that hugeass mountain again and NOT have it be related to dragons in some way. There could even be a Skill Line of Dragon Shouts (Aura Whisper to reveal stealthed foes, Unrelenting Force to knock people off balance, Whirlwind sprint to be an alternative to Retreating Maneuver, etc.).

Elseweyr is the province we've seen the least of so far, so I wouldn't be disappointed if we end up going there instead. Not sure what the campaign could be about, but the scenery would certainly be nice. As for Black Marsh, something involving the Hist would be appropriate, also something exploring the enslavement of the Argonians by the Dunmer.

As for Hammerfell and Western Cyrodiil...I'm not sure. It would be nice to have something about the Adamantine Tower, given how we can all see it from three separate zones yet none of us can visit it. It being the oldest structure on the planet, I'm very eager to see if there's anything cool inside we can take.

Now for places outside of Tamriel. There's The rest of Nirn, there's Oblivion, and there's Aetherius.

Akavir would be an interesting place to visit, and it would give ZOS an excuse to add new playable races to the game. I also don't think it's ever been visited in any game so far, or even in any other forms of Elder Scrolls canon. It means they get to be much more creative with it than the other locations. Less restrictions. Atmora might also be cool for similar reasons.

Oblivion could also be interesting. There are realms we've visited in past games like the Deadlands and the Shivering Isles, and there are also realms we've seen nothing of, like Jyggalag's realm (would be interesting to see it, even if he's not there to rule over it), or even Sanguine's various pocket realms of infinite wine and prostitutes (that one visit in Skyrim doesn't count as you're only there for about 2 minutes).

Aetherius could also be cool as we don't see a lot of it.

I like the idea of exploring in-Tamriel, but I don't think ESO should expand TES borders by traveling to the other continents. As much as I like ESO, I don't think it would do the scenery justice, especially because of the lack of depictions of Akavir and the like.

Pyandonea is something I could see them working around with, as the Maormer are clearly more elaborated upon in ESO than in the rest of the franchise combined. We even see Maormer in Summerset.

As for Jyggalag's realm, that's currently still the Shivering Isles with Sheogorath ruling over them, though it would be fun going there again, I don't see it as necessary. We won't really have a main event taking place, unless if a Daedric Prince invades Sheo's realm, but I doubt that.

Based on the current trend, it will most likely be within Daggerfall Covenant territory. Probably Hammerfell if I had to guess.

I would not mind exploring more of Skyrim though. There is still much to be explored up there.

I would really love to see the rest of Elsweyr, and honestly, the rest of Black-Marsh. Would love to see more of Hammerfell. As much as I love Cyrodiil from Oblivion (and trust me, I LOVE Cyrodiil) but we had all of Cyrodiil in Oblivion, so I could survive without that for now. The absolute last place I want a new expansion to be in, is Skyrim. We were just in Skyrim with TES V and the Dragonborn expansion. I am not in any hurry whatsoever to go back there. Vvardenfell was cool, but again, already been there.

I want to explore places we have not been yet, or at least explore the rest of provinces that we have had a glimpse of here in ESO (looking at you Elsweyr and Black-Marsh.

P.S. Skyrim was a great game (not as great as Oblivion, in my opinion) but with how much Bethesda keeps milking that damn game, I am sick of it. I don't want to have anything to do in Skyrim for a good long while.

"Big expansion"? Did I miss something? Summerset is neither an expansion nor big...

I wish they would do a proper expansion with several new zones, weapons and skill lines but that's never going to happen.

Judging on the upcoming Chapter I really don't want more of them. Unfortunately they're some kind of rip offs.

But back on topic... pretty sure the next Chapter will be Murkmire.

Hmm I would guess that the next expansion is related to Black Marsh, so Murkmire. But that's pure speculation on my part.

For ideas related to Murkmire... well I hope we will see perhaps the greatest or tallest waterfall of Tamriel and really deep and dark forests as well as difficult terrain with high plateaus and swamps all over the place.

I think Skyrim will be added very late in ESO because it is the theme of the latest SP in the sequel. However in case they add it, I would like to see a new Barbarian/Berserker class.

Western Cyrodiil... well, it certainly will have Skingrad as a central hub and heavily Imperial themed, I guess. Perhaps we will hear the nice music of Oblivion once again. Perhaps there will be an interesting PvP aspect in that expansion.

In Hammerfell I expect to be subject to harsh weather conditions, and face sand or wind atronachs. And maybe a very old city beneath the sand...

Go with that to the other topics, you literally fill all of them with this.

We will most likely get Sunforge in Hammerfell. Murkmire as DLC maybe.

Murkmire is the most likely answer, but with them starting an entirely new story arc, they could do anything. They could even go off Tamriel to one of the other continents.

Never liked the SKyrim vibe.... Absolutely hated the snow theme and those annoying mountains (with the jump system ESO has, navigating through such territory would be a nightmare!). I would absolutely love if we had an entire plane of oblivion as a map to explore. There can be so many different themes from so many planes!

A hammerfell chapter would be nice with 3 giant muntains (Vvardenfell 1 mountain, summerset 2 mountains so next chapter should be with 3 mountains).

Agree, it would make most sense Orsinium, Morrowind Summerset, hammerfell Murkmire, Elsweir.
Western Skyrim as in reachmen might make sense to, however Skyrim is an one time resource reserved to bring players back from TES6.

Well we have an EP chapter, then an AD so I would expect a DC area next, most likely not an orc area because of wrothgar.
If I had to bet money on it, more of hammerfell.

Blackmarsh is supposed to be uninhabitable to the normal races of nirn so no.

They also can't add in winterhold like OP said because when zos made the map they slid eastmarch too far east and put it were western morrowind is supposed to be, for some reason solsthiem is almost connected to it from the north were winterhold should be. You can actually see the part were winterhold is supposed to be on the map but its literally way off to the west of were eastmarch is. In short ZOS screwed up the map there.

I'm hoping for something Argonian-themed. That would be the most interesting and unique. Or maybe something with Orcs. They're both the least explored compared to the other cultures.

I agree that Pyandonaea would be a really good choice for a place to visit some day. They're interesting and are brought into the series in a way they never were before (and I was always so curious about them). Personally, I'd love to play as one of them in the future, although it is not yet clear to me whether they are a monster race or not as far as the developers are concerned.

I think Skyrim is a great idea, just don't focus the story around dragons, dragons are great but just because it's Skyrim doesn't mean we need dragons. Also, stay the *** away from zones we haven't seen in the main elder scrolls series, eso cannot show them as they have been portrayed in the lore, so we get zones like shadowfen wich is a *** disaster, and now we get summerset Wich is 3 times worse. the unreliable narrator is a stupid excuse.

Im sorry that a very small handful of imaginary people wrote up a few fragments of information on an isle that barred foreigners.

But those few pages from a few writers seeking their 10 minutes of fame in a fictional universe is not enough to base your entire ideals on what Summerset should have looked like.
