Thank you for the small things

I'm wandering around Glenumbra today.

I'm on my second favorite character; she's done all of the dolmens/world bosses/delves in this zone — had them done a long time ago.

Today I am fishing and I find myself on that lonely stretch of beach which houses Trapjaw and not much else.

When this character defeated Trapjaw, he was a giant crocodile. Now he is a giant thunder lizard thinger. I was surprised. I had to ask in chat because I was afraid I was losing my mind. But no. his model was updated. I LOVE this. He's scarier now. It makes sense why NOTHING wants to be near him. It was a great change.

I realize it's one of many, and so I'm here to say thanks to the teams for who this is priority.

Thank you.
Thank you for updating models.
Thank you for updating dress for NPCs as you release new clothing.
Thank you for updating NPC housing and decorations as you release new furnishings.

Thank you for the little things. It keeps making me feel like I'm discovering new stuff all of the time. It keeps the game fresh.

It makes a difference.

I notice.

Thank you!

I realized ZOS updates A LOT of things without us knowing and it's fantastic to see how they improve textures, skills effects, NPCs, monsters, bosses, land, etc.

Very often I tell myself: "Hold! This wasn't like that before. Cool! It looks awesome!". :)

    So, good job ZOS!

I would rather they fix the bugs that have been around for years instead of doing these little things that really make very little difference on gameplay.

@xbobx Absolutely bug fixing is important, no doubt.

I don't think the same teams do the bug squashing as the ones who do the visual, cosmetic types of updates, though.

I'm here for one team, not the other. :)

Why some people think everyone in a gaming company does the same job?

It's not like: "Hey, you, 3D Modeler, come here and fix this dungeon bug with combat mechanics", or: "You, Article Writer, come and resolve this glitch with the main quest of the new DLC".

    Spot on actually.

Just this morning I remembered that on the load screen it didn't use to show mounts or Costume. And I hated seeing my armour that was underneath.

Can't remember when they changed it but a small and nice touch

You first say "...things that really make very little difference on gameplay" but now you mention the guys that work on skins and costumes? So, cosmetics as it's the topic of this thread.

You named people that work on the same thing; monster skins and costumes are cosmetic designs. I'm sure they don't work on gameplay stuff.

@Geekgirl I don't know if you ever read the text that was by the old crocodile. It talked about the eggs. Well, when they updated the world bosses, the eggs hatched. you can still see the "old" Trapjaw's body lying at her spawn's feed.

She must have had a wild party one night. :-P
