Suggestion: Have ALL mat nodes give lower level resources as well

It really sucks that you can't go out and farm mats for levels below your own, and your only "reliable" ways of obtaining them are via completing writs or buying them in guild stores (and lets be honest, who the hell wants to pay several thousand gold for a stack of sanded maple?)
I propose that whenever players farm a node, it gives the same stuff it usually does, and in addition drops some extra mats, always of a level lower than the node itself. This way, while farming max level mats, players will gradually get a collection of low level mats too. It'll make it much easier for them to craft gear for less experienced players.

I get that, but not everybody has a massive stock of low level mats available. Suddenly someone walks along asking for low level armor and you've got no mats to craft it for them. Respeccing your crafter down to the passive level needed to farm whatever tier of mats is at least 50% reliable. Ever think of that?2 -

Okay, not too bad if it only ads a little bit of a random lower level resource and not reduce then main resource amount.
BUT, I want it so you have to take the whole node or nothing. I don not want to roll up to a node and find it is only a low level resource. You know that will happen as people already leave trash in nodes.3 -

Correct ... and the OP has either forgotten or conveniently left out the part that you can respec down to the crafting passive level needed for each mat tier.1 -

People being forced to take things they can't carry could be an issue. One idea could be to have nodes despawn if an item is taken from them (thus allowing another to spawn in its place), even if a player intentionally leaves something in there, but that's a bad idea as they might get kicked out due to combat and not be able to grab something really good.

Also if you respec or just make a low level alt your hirelings for that toon will deliver low level mats. So you don't even have to loot for mats - the get delivered to your box.
Also if you save some surveys and do them on this respeced toon or alt you will get all the mats in the lower level mat.
Also if you level an alt and decon their equipment it is in the lower level mat.
So yeah, nothing needs to change except the person who can't seem to find low level mats for some reason.0 -

There is a "blindspot" in this approach. You can not gather the level 50 #cp resources you have passed on the cp levels.
Wish I had to option to gather them on an alt or have a menu option to select which of those lvl 50 #cp tiers I wanted to gather. Would no mind if it required a reload ui to change.0
