Would you like to see Temporary mounts in Crown Crates?

In quite a few MMOs there are 7-day and 30-day temporary mounts and then permanent versions of those mounts. The temporary mounts allow the developer to offer a higher chance at a rare mount that may only last a few days. For example, you may be able to acquire a 7-day Radiant APEX mount for less gems or have a higher chance of it being in your crate.

I think this along with rare temporary pets would be a fun and exciting addition. It also would encourage people to get more Crown Crates and perhaps improve Crown Crate sales.

I honestly believe we should make the devs raise the price of crown crates, I also think it would be cool if we could purchase all the current base game zones individually. To top it of, include maelstrom weapons in crown crates please, and remove crown gems they ruin the rng.

7- and 30-day "rentals" are the number one worst thing in cheesy f2p MMOs.

Especially the ones that do this with bank and inventory expansions!

(now, I wouldn't put promo/gift items - like that TERA thing - in this category, I mean stuff that you actually pay $ for.)

I thought it was cool the other day I was playing another MMO killed a random rare mob in the open world, and the loots was a mount of that mob.

I guess this Idea would be the complete opposite of that.

No, this does not appeal to me in the slightest and would give me even less reason to buy Crown Crates. Which takes some doing given that I'm already convinced that buying Crown Crates is a waste of my money.

Why would I want ZOS to design temporary mounts that take the exact same effort as permanent mounts and then only get to keep them for a little while?

That makes no sense from a consumer standpoint.

The only reason we have limited time only stuff is to create artitificial scarcity. We don't need temporary "hey you won this prize, but only for a month" mounts as well.

Its just, I...I don't get the appeal. At all.

Say you attain a 7-day mount from the daily rewards you would then have a "taste" of the Radiant APEX mount and want to buy more crates to try for the permanent one.

Revenue means better content for us.

There is only 1 way this idea would be an ok one: If it was an ADDITION to what is already found in the crates. You get what, 4, sometimes 5, items? I don't remember the exact number. But temporary mounts/pets could be a 6th that only show up at times. It would give the player a chance to check out a mount, and maybe purchase after the temporary time is over.

But if it replaces anything I have a chance to get, I would rage. And I never rage.

That's a good idea. You could see how the mount looks on your character too.

A chance-to-get is bad enough, but a chance-to-rent? That's hilarious. But how exactly would this be fun and exciting?

I can imagine riding at full belt across Cyrodiil when your rented mount suddenly disappears from under you and you slide across the grass on your face...

Nah, not my idea of "fun and exciting" to be honest. It would look more like a final, last-ditch and desperate attempt to stay afloat. I hope I've moved on before it ever comes to that.
