Well, technically, "max CP" is 3600 so I'm nowhere near that.

If you mean below cap, then 0. I was above cap when they introduced it, and they've not caught up to me yet.

a lot? over a year of real time at least, though mind you it took me some months just to get to lvl 50 in a first place on even a single character. I will say that I got ridiculous boost to my CC from doing master writs. I wasn't doing them to get CC, I was doing them to get furnishing patterns etc, but even without any xp boosts, its pretty ridiculous amount of xp. with xp boosts its even faster.

Just short of 1000 hours and im just shy of 400 CP. I screw off a lot though. Thieving trading and i cant help but to peek into containers when i run by them or open chests or other such things. I figure i will 700ish by the end of the year.

I dunno tbh, every time they add more CP I'm always max, Once it gets past 900 I'll be playing catch up but I'll always be 100+ ahead,

But back in the day I levelled from VR1-14 from PVP only, everyone was already max lvl and when VR16 came around I still had to get those last 2 levels

For PC user using Steam, you can see the total when selecting ESO from your library. For the rest, indeed /played in chat box for that specific character you are playing

I dunno how you haven't hit CP Cap with those kinda hours.

All I've done is play the game as intended. Clear every zone, run all content etc and I'm like 100 over cap.

I think L1-50 took me 5 months, but was CP cap (501) in about a year of casual play.

I came back to play ESO about 8 months ago. When I quit, I was VR 14 or 16 (don't recall).

I played an average of 1 hour a day, without grinding a single day (I hate that). Did missing storylines, missing DLC content, I even had to re-do Craglorn. 1 hour a day.

I hit max CP after about 6 months.

Thats not a correct number. Steam starts counting when you open the launcher. So it counts dowloading updates and everything that happens when you open the launcher.

True, although after hitting 2500hrs the time spent on the Launcher becomes relatively insignificant (and am lazy summing up the hours on each characters with /played

As for how we can play that many hours without reaching the gap am asking myself the same question! I guess multiple reasons: several toons, no grinding, much more PVP than PVE, a lot of time in areas with *** internet when I basically cannot do any content a part from market and collecting resources, the fact that I played for some time above CP (where you increase your level very slowly) before taking a long break from the game ,etc.

24,820 hours and I think I'm at CP505 currently.

I have 3 alts, but only play 2. Between them:
0 has all researched max.
1 has all mount training.
1 has cleared all public dungeons
0 has been in any vet dungeon.
1 has been to Dragonstar Arena, the only group event played.
0 has made Emperor (lol, and never will given how rigged this is)

So, you may be wondering, "Wait. What the hell have you been doing all this time?"

With that, let's go back to 2014 when the game was released on the XBox. I made my first ever character: a stamBlade Khajiit. I slashed, hacked, died, slashed, hacked, and died my way through all three zones of the original game. Playing a stamBlade back then was as fun as listening to a Taylor Swift song covered by Justin Beiber (re: please shoot me).

All that time. All those levels. All the training. All the research. All the motifs.

Yep, dumbest damn thing I've ever done in this game because I hated the stamBlade character so much, I swore I'd never play it again.

Then ZoS actually fixed the damn class.

In the meantime, I did what most everyone else did: create the most OP class in the game... an Altmer magSorc! Repeated all 3 zones.

I started working on a magBlade right before Morrowind was released, and then I got burned out. Seriously. Burned. Out. I left the game, only to return just a couple of months ago.

I read stamBlades got some love. Yep. They got some love. I reset my skills, and converted to stamBlade, which I'm playing now (she's actually who added the 100+ CP points in the last two months).

She'll be taking me to 720.

As for the magSorc... yeah, completely forgot how to play one.

For now, I'll stick with my DW/Bow Bosmer. I'm actually enjoying this game, and it doesn't feel like a chore.

Well, mostly.

Here's how long it takes to grind an alt account to max CP if you are in a hurry:

This is less than 7 days of time played over a real life period of 2 months. I have a full time job, so I couldn't just grind non-stop like when I was a kid.

I think I could have done it in 5 days if I hadn't taken the time to clear several zone of skyshards and mages guild books. I'm not sure I believe it can be done in 2 days of play time like some people are saying. BTW, I golded out my Training gear, which cost several hundred K of gold, and I spent MILLIONS of gold on Mystic Aetherial XP drinks.
