Maintenance for the week of April 6:

What kind of bed does you character sleep on in their house?

Every notice there's so many options from rugs, stretchers, hammocks, full size, king size, double beds, canopy beds

My favorite though is purple wood elf one. Feels down to earth and perfect fpry character... though my character been going down a dark path so we shall see. For now what you guys like for your characters?

Edit: I love halu one just as much just have a fitting home for it.

I like the wide, no canopy beds. I can't stand the canopy ones because I can't emote sleep in them!

ZOS, can we get interactable beds that let us sleep in them, please?!

I really like the Hlaalu/Redoran canopy beds too, but the colour doesn't go well with non-Dunmer furniture.

I usually try to match the bed to the racial style of the house. So in mourmoth i have a stone slab covered in fur. Not exactly the best thing to sleep on but at least its not the floor....i guess. there are some styles of beds i really like that may get me to change to a style the house isnt in. I just havent obtained/made them yet.

Oh I like this question. I actually put a decent amount of thought into the bed choices for each of my houses. :D

My first house was Autumn's-Gate, which I set up as my main character's first home and kind of a respite after all of her adventuring up to that point. It's mostly decorated with mementos of her travels through the three alliances and Craglorn, so quite eclectic as far as racial style representation. For a bed I went with a Wood Elf hammock (single-wide, just her) because it's what she would feel most comfortable in after being used to sleeping wherever she could find a decent spot during her travels out and about. Even in an actual house, it would just feel weird sleeping in a regular bed.

Mournoth Keep is kind of a hunting lodge setup, and I didn't feel compelled to stick with all Orc stuff, so the upstairs bedroom has a Nord sleigh-style bed that looks rustic and cool.

Velothi Reverie is where my main character holed up after the events of Orsinium got her down. It's got a pretty moody aesthetic going on, lots of wrought iron and dark colors. I really really wanted a bed with a wrought iron frame for that house, but we don't have one of those and the Vvardenfell styles that came closest have this gross ashy thing going on that just looks really uncomfortable to sleep in. So I ended up coming up with the idea of making my own bed by putting three Redoran padded benches next to each other and tossing on a rug "blanket" and some pillows. The appropriately-sized rugs look a bit more scuzzy than I might like, but on the plus side I can actually sit on the edge of the bed if I'm feeling contemplative. :D

Hunding's Palatial Hall is a swanky party palace. The upstairs master bedroom has the fancy Hew's Bane bed, and I think the downstairs guest bedroom has a Khajiit canopy bed.

And um the coven hut has the Wood Elf hammock again, because I was going for super woodsy on that one and it would keep me off the cold stone floor, and I just put one of the regular Altmer beds in Mathiisen Manor, and I haven't gotten around to doing the bedroom in Ald Velothi yet, and I think my Khajiit's Sleek Creek murder-pad-in-progress has a nice Breton bed I had laying around.

So yeah, those are my overly-thought-out bed selections. :D

It's just too convenient for the ~3 minutes of play my character get every day when turning writs. I have enough money to buy all houses available for in game gold, but I don't see any advantage in buying them.

I don't like most of the canopy beds. So I just use a wide bed with nice pillows and make my own canopy. The khajiit curtains that tie back (can't remember the name) and the wedding curtains are perfect for this.

This thread got me to thinking. When ever we use an emote and then log out, our character stands up and faces us. So, we can never leave them sleeping. Be nice if we could do that, and then even log in to them sleeping again.

    O.o which house is this?

That's exactly my point, none of them fit the bill. The characters log in the bank, hit the writ boards, hit the bank again for provisioning and alchemy which are pre-crafted, then the craft tables. The whole process takes ~2m30s per character, with another ~2m loging in and out. This is the only way I can turn 14 x 6 writs within a little more than one hour. Even if I had a house in town it still would be slower due to the added loading screen when entering and exiting.

You can even do this is a WoW inn FFS last time I played it years ago, but I can't sleep in any of my houses? Always hated that I can't log out sleeping in ESO.
