Gatherer bots, is that a thing?

After 2 months playing the game, today im doing all the surveys i got (like 500 of them). And i have noticed some "players" trying at all cost to gather the nodes, and as they fail to gather one node, they try on the next one, and so on. They stay like that for quite some time to be awckwardly stupid, inhuman way so to speak. They don't answer questions and just stand there for a long time. Are those bots? And i don't believe they are new players, most of them are 500~1000 CP...

Skua✭✭✭I am pretty sure surveys spawn for you individually and that other people can't see them. I see other people who must have surveys sometimes doing them at the same time and you don't see them crouch in a gathering motion or anything on your screen you just see them standing briefly where each node must have been created for them.

Armatesz✭✭✭✭✭I don't think I have ever seen bots do surveys once in eso, I have however seen bot routiners that would go from node to node and chest to chest looting stuff. Followed some of their routines and found some of the people that manage them, majority of the ones I see that do this are gold sellers that scam people.Ärmätèsz

Humm, so its just an animation issue? I just try to speak to the "weirdest behaviour" ones, perhaps they are busy on real life, or just don't want to talk at all, because they spend a good time standing there.0 -

TempPlayer✭✭✭✭✭I wonder, if you have multiple copy of a survey map, will the node respawn after a time limit, or do you have to leave the general vicinity for the respawn to work.
I usually just left and take care of other survey map and come back later.0 -

leave area or travel far enough away and come back and it repopulates with a survey. Does not consume survey till you pick up first node.Ärmätèsz

Invincible✭✭✭✭✭Bots are mostly a myth people assume anyone who grabs a node faster than them and doesn't engage them is a bot. When I'm gathering I ninja every node I can and very rarely respond to angry messages.0 -

That said release was bot world here in ESO you couldn't even move or finish quests at release bots were in their thousands.0 -

Thanks, I know that. I thought if it respawn with timer, that may explain why there are toons just standing at the survey spot as the topic post stated.

I just go far and return, usually gathering more stuff along the way0
