Taking a couple days off of dailies due to burnout, but I'll be back to doing my writs soon enough. They were worth the time for me even without the bonus boxes.

I will give you a hint, why this can be essential for some - me for example, I don't trade stuff in guild stores, my only source of income are crafting writs. Doing that with 3-5 characters whenever I play, will earn me about 10k gold, which is enough for my purposes. I can buy houses once in a while and furniture them decently as well.

I have $3,510,000.00 and am inches away from buying a huge mansion. I do dailies to help fund my real estate ventures.

I still do writs daily, but on fewer characters than I did during the event. I do pledges a couple times a week, and trials twice weekly.

I do writs for surveys and master writs. I will run one or two other dailies just to farm other loot types sometimes. I never did pledges for the event, complete waste of time. I almost never do pledges now.

I only do crafting writs and on 2-3 toons max, so it's not really a hassle. Even though I miss the boxes, the master writs and extra mats make them worth doing for me.
