What I want to know is why traveling to your home via a wayshrine counts as a fast travel? If you try to fast travel out of your home after accessing it via a wayshrine your price is knocked up as if you’d fast traveled to your home.
You can do it freely if you port to a guild mate in a zone or close to it. For example if I'm in some boondocks I just open the roster, check if someone is in Deshaan or Grahtwood and port to them. Then I can go from that shrine wherever I need to go
Probably because many people just FT to a house, then FT elsewhere. Sure, a bit longer, but it saves 146 gold.Massive_Stain wrote: »...but why not give the option to skip the steps of scrolling through a list to find someone in the right zone?

Well, that there are travel cost in the first place and that they differ in the second place is somewhat nonsensical from an ingame perspective and makes even very little sense on the meta-level as a gold sink. I would support getting this removed, but not just for ESO+ subscribers, but in general. It does not make any sense by concept from an ingame perspective.

ESO+ member, here, and that doesn’t really interest me.
Just get the free house in Vulkhel Guard, Auridon. It’s right next to a wayshrine. FT to the house then jump into the wayshrine network.
Don’t like Auridon? There are probably other houses in similar places near wayshrines.
I bought this up a while back and it was kind of split in the community who like and who didn't like it.
I was for it as there is already a work around via guilds or housing.
