Would free fast travel for eso plus subscribers be something anyone would be interested in? I know its semi rudimentary, but a lot of other mmo games do this for subscribers already. Why not eso?

Yes I know you can already travel to other players in guilds or friend list for free, but why not give the option to skip the steps of scrolling through a list to find someone in the right zone?

I love the idea simply for the convenience. It doesn't matter how much gold a person has, not having to hassle with this would be amazingggg.

What I want to know is why traveling to your home via a wayshrine counts as a fast travel? If you try to fast travel out of your home after accessing it via a wayshrine your price is knocked up as if you’d fast traveled to your home.

Good point. Always thought that was some unaddressed bug tbh

You can do it freely if you port to a guild mate in a zone or close to it. For example if I'm in some boondocks I just open the roster, check if someone is in Deshaan or Grahtwood and port to them. Then I can go from that shrine wherever I need to go :)

FT is probably the largest overall gold sink, across the entire player base in this game when totted up next to other gold sinks. Would make zero sense removing it.

Or significantly reduced fast travel cost like half price with double speed countdown timer. That was it is still a bit of a money sink.

Probably because many people just FT to a house, then FT elsewhere. Sure, a bit longer, but it saves 146 gold. ;)

Me, I just spend the gold. I call it a Punishment Tax because I'm literally standing at the wayshrine but accidentally FT because I was looking at my map, not the wayshrine map.

I don't see a need for it personally. I'm not in any guilds and don't use addons so don't benefit from any shortcuts, but I only very rarely spend any gold on travel, and on that basis the cost is trivial even to a non-trader with little or no gold like me! It's so easy to use wayshrines and if necessary to go to one via a suitably located house.

Yes, but why bother going through the hassle? It's yet another UI scroll that I'd rather not have to do. Just let us travel around without nonsensical, unnecessary extra steps to complicate something ffs please.

Well, that there are travel cost in the first place and that they differ in the second place is somewhat nonsensical from an ingame perspective and makes even very little sense on the meta-level as a gold sink. I would support getting this removed, but not just for ESO+ subscribers, but in general. It does not make any sense by concept from an ingame perspective.

I don't really care about travel cost for eso +, however I really want a wayshrine in my home so I can travel OUT for free.

Not sure why this isn't a thing by now?

ESO+ member, here, and that doesn’t really interest me.

Just get the free house in Vulkhel Guard, Auridon. It’s right next to a wayshrine. FT to the house then jump into the wayshrine network.

Don’t like Auridon? There are probably other houses in similar places near wayshrines.

I bought this up a while back and it was kind of split in the community who like and who didn't like it.

I was for it as there is already a work around via guilds or housing.

This I think is the issue that it wouldn't end up as a benefit for most , which I think should be the goal of any new things brought to eso plus

Doesn’t ESO+ give you a 10% extra gold bonus? That’s better than free fast travel.
