I learned a lot of motifs, and made a couple million gold on 11 characters. Did maybe 1320 writs. Now I just need to remember how to play the game again.

I saw a tweet of someone who did over 5000 writs using 3 accounts.

I'm almost embarrassed how much time I put into the event. But the completionist in me loves it, as does the part of me who likes to customize my characters' looks.

    I got completely burned out.

My thoughts exactly. I didn't even bother playing the game at all for the final 4 or 5 days of the event.

Cake XP buff was nice. Haven't the time, energy, or inclination to grind repeatable quests every day for an infinitesimal chance at something rare.

I played sparingly and made several hundred thousand in gold. I care not for fancy motifs so I did my writs on my only character.

I was getting pretty burned out, and since i had made a modest fortune by the end of teh first week, I scaled back a bit on the dailies over the past few days, only doing crafting writs on all 15 toons plus the Undaunted daily on the toons needing Undaunted rep the most and the CWC crow daily on the toons that had it unlocked, since I had the stuff for that daily hogging up bank space so to save time (and which got vendor d first thing this morning).'

But last night i did some pledges and then told my group I wanted to call it a night and finish up crafting writs for that day--it was about 3 hours bofore the daily reset. I ended up doing dailies until the reset, and then rushed to do as many writs I could on my 15 toons before the server went down, all the while listing anything good i got in my guild stores. In those last 5 hours before the server was taken down, I made almost 500k gold just selling motifs, blue furnishing recipes and intricates. i was selling off anything left in my toons' inventories. It was crazy. People were just snagging anything. Any WC pages I listed sold by the time I logged on to my next toon.

So a rather fun and profitable closing to this event for me. In addition the generous amounts of mats and transmutation crystals i also got from the boxes, I made out like a bandit. And like last year, I am happy now to go back to my simple ESO life of fishing, raiding, zerging and occasional light thievery.

I only had Worm Cult left to complete, so I did that on day three of the event using 600k gold. Sold all my dupes afterwards and made at least double of that back :) My wife got all motifs she didn't know and has now over 2/3 of the collection (we made sure to get her Worm Cult during the event too). Since I do a lot of dailies anyway it was pretty good, but the extra week surely 'cured' me from doing all dailies I can for a while :D

Other all I think that it was a great way to give people a nice head start into collecting the crafting styles and filling up their crafting bags (if they have them).

My wife and I both maxed out our 8 slots and did the daily crafting writs. I got from 0 to 6 pages of each motif book, besides the Dro-m'Athra which I completed. Got about 100 transmute crystals and lots of other crafting items including some recipes I didn't have. I even ended up with 5 fortified nirncrux and 6 potent nirncrux, so rare.

All in all, I thought it was worth it. Getting all 48 writs completed during the week was rough as I don't have the time after work to get them all done but luckily my wife helped.

It was a long but good event. Double the gold of my average income and my bank is still clogged with motif pages, designs, praxis, blueprints and recipes. Will have to spend quite a bit of time clearing out treasure maps and surveys.

I learned many complete styles and started several more.

Just one question, anyone need to learn how to make a clockwork control panel?

you know, you don't need some reward to do dailies on your characters. If you enjoy taking the public dungeon from mages guild and go for a walk on one of ur chars, u don't need a reward to motivate you do it, you can do it from and for fun

I enjoyed it, but then I've had enough experience with MMO special events to know not to go overboard and get burned out, no matter how good the rewards are. I've made that mistake in the past and ended up taking 2 week/1 month breaks from the game after the event was over.

This time I just did my usual dailies and played my characters normally while using the XP boost. I got some nice extra rewards, but didn't get sick of the game in the process.

    I got completely burned out.

This. Leveled 2 new chars to 50, helped a friend to grind from ~300 CP to max (he switched from console) and did professions with 13 chars a day. I also did Cyro dailies, if I didn't fall asleep until then. All this while raiding 3 days the week and working for 43 hours/week....

    I .... am .... tired.

Enjoyed it, i could have gotten a bunch of alts to 50 but i chose to do all the crafting dailies on them all and used my main to increase my cp level.

Got some nice-looking stuff for the outfit system.

I was doing 20 to 30 dailies each day on my main. All the time I could spare with work and whatever. But after scoring a worm cult book, after only wanting the chest page if nothing else, I was happy and only did writs and the occasional other daily with a friend for any other motifs I didn't know already.

Crafting on 16 characters over 2 platforms is not my favorite thing to do but I was rewarded well with many unlearned motif pages and other goodies. I made one of my neglected ps4 characters into a mule and he currently has well over 100 pages and plans in his inventory that I can sell whenever. Now I have to get started on the pile of surveys :/

I only did daily writs most days, and I have Lazy Writ Crafter, so most of my "grind" was done while catching up on Netflix shows on my second monitor. I got 90 boxes a day out of it, and it was painless, so win-win there. Got myself all my remaining missing motifs except Soul Shriven, because I STILL haven't gotten around to completing Cadwell's Silver, and I'm sitting on so many motifs that I'll be genuinely rich whenever the motif market finally recovers and I can start selling them again. Plus I got two of my long-neglected alts to 50, and I'll probably get a third to 50 with my leftover cake XP bonus.

So... I did pretty well for myself, all said. Mainly because I set strict limits for myself and stuck to them (only daily crafting writs, nothing else), because I knew that I'd drive myself crazy otherwise. But also, yeah, I'm pretty ready to not have to spend two hours a day doing crafting writs, even if I DID have Netflix to keep me occupied.

Wish it had been like the (?) 2nd one???
You got a box for every world boos, dolman boss, daily, delv boss, everything,
and they had the WHOLE loot table as RNG..
But this was a FUN event never the less, but for next year, maybe bring back the "Everything Loot and Drops"?
